Availability for board as of September 1, 2026.

Gelding group pen has 2-3 spots.

Mare group pen has 3-4 spots.

Pony pen has 1-2 possible openings.

Indoor/stalls - currently not available.
Private pens- currently not available.

*regular farrier and equine osteopath rotation.

Group pens have shelter, water, loose mineral, grass/dry lot pending the needs and top end hay.

Group board rates gain access to the indoor arena- not heated, heated tack room, pole shed storage, outdoor arena, race track, trails. Upgrades can be added like blanket rotation, daily graining, etc.

We pride ourselves on having an incredible barn atmosphere and quality care.

Message us for more information; secure your spot to enjoy the outside amenities before winter sets in and we are forced inside.

I’ve had multiple inquires about sharing my horseshow knowledge. So I’m considering hosting a “moch horse show”. It would be the best way to really showcase how things flow. I need to know who would be interested and whether a week day (day time or later day) or weekend would be a better date option.

I also want to add that there are a couple really fantastic shows left this season nice and close to home. So if we get this moch day booked and everyone puts in the work there is no reason. We couldn’t all show up as a big team to help support eachother on show day ♥️

I have the pleasure of working on all different breeds and sizes of horses, but it’s not everyday that they’re this small! Hahaha

Boarding updates as of July 15/ 2026:

We have some pasture board available. Looking to have your herd hit some grass for July, August and maybe September- we can help with that.

The gelding pen is nearing its max. We have room for one maybe two well behaved geldings in our group one.

We do have some room in the mare pens or private board availability. Could potentially have room for 2-3 mares.

Private pens could be made available.

True grit prides itself on a fun and friendly atmosphere with low numbers to ensure quality care and time to all boarders.

Indoor (not heated) and outdoor riding arena and the race tack are well maintained for best use.

I will never not love my job. Today not only did I get to share my extreme love of all things horse shows while giving a quick run down on what to expect in a trail class and showmanship class. I also got to jump ride the coolest pony I have ever seen for a little bimble around the race track. Happy Sunday horse friends ♥️
