I have been a bit busy lately to be doing much posting for this page. For those of you that don't know, I also run Regional Reptile Rescue. I am currently in the middle of a most daunting task, something I have been referred to as "The Great Rearranging". I am completely breaking down the entire room, cleaning it thoroughly and rearranging my reptile/ bug room. I have made some progress around here, but it seems so minimal compared to what I have planned. Some animals are getting enclosure upgrades. Pretty much every animal will be getting a complete overhaul on their enclosures once everything is cleaned and rearranged. There is still much work to do!!

So it looks like we will be having baby mantises again!! My daughter LOVES mantises and has to bring home any she has the ability to. This one she brought home from school!! Before I could even get her set up, she laid her oothecae in the box she was brought home in! After about 2-6 weeks, there will be baby mantises storming this tank! They were very popular last time, let's hope the same thing happens this time.

The male Giant Millipede taking a trip around the tank.

It seems the young Millipedes are starting to discover the tasty treats that are in the bowl!! Bee pollen looks to be their favorite, but they do graze on the fish food flakes and calcium as well. They definitely have a well varied diet. Besides the dish of treats, they also have various stages of rot wood, flake soil (made by me), dried leaves and some other organic matter to munch on.

I have tons of Folsomia candida springtails available! They are great as a member of your bioactive terrarium and make great feeders for little reptiles as well. I use them as feeders for my baby Mourning Geckos in the terrarium. I heavily seed the soil with them and their terrarium has a built in food source. Plus, they help with keeping the terrarium clean of natural debris. If you are looking for some, message me and we can get you sorted out!!

Been seeing a whole lot of action in the Giant American Millipede tank lately!!! From the trio of adults and the plethora of offspring they have produced! The babies range from the size of brand new babies up to specimens that are about 1/4 the size of the adults! I don't know how many offspring are in this tank, but I'm planning on overhauling the tank soon, so I'm going to find out!!!

Managed to snap some good pictures of Misery and Agony, my Hottentotta hottentotta (Gatorback) Scorpions recently. Somehow, I was able to get a picture of both of them showing their eyes. They are steadily growing, as you can tell by the picture of Agony beside her molt. I can't wait until these ladies are big enough to start reproducing. They are a parthenogenetic species, so they reproduce on their own.
