Yukon Animal Rescue Network - YARN Yukon Animal Rescue Network (YARN) responsibly handles litters of pups & spays & returns mama dogs.

YARN is a dedicated group of people in the Yukon Territory (Northern Canada) donating their time and money to help animals in need, which may be lost, injured, neglected or abandoned. We reunite lost pets with their owners, or find the best fur-ever home we can. We work with folks in the communities, to help animals in need. We want to know when an animal is in distress, being mistreated, or abandoned… We can help. When owners are unable to cope with their pet, we can help find solutions to help them keep their pet…

We strongly advocate spaying / neutering and proper care for domesticated animals. Our group currently functions solely on adoption fees, donations from our supporters and contributions from volunteers. All services are provided in private homes, either at YARN in Watson Lake, or one of our wonderful foster homes, where most non-medical care costs are covered by the foster families...

Please consider a small donation to help us rescue more animals in need. Our Dog Adoption Application can be completed online here...

Turns out Daisy has an infection in her neck... We are happy it was not something dire... She is ready to head home - with some meds...

Daisy is under a foot tall - and needs to bum a ride from Whitehorse, back to her Dad Ron, in Watson Lake... Anyone headed this way...?

This lovely YARN dog is Daisy... She was adopted by my mother and step-father Ron... Mom is gone now... Daisy lives in Watson Lake, with Ron, who is almost 80.

Daisy has a lump on her neck... Is it foxtails in her throat? Or something more serious... We don't know... But she is looking to hitch a ride to the vet...

Anyone heading that way...? Ron will pay all travel expenses... Once we know when a ride is going - I can make the arrangements with a vet...

JADES SMILE – YOUTUBE VIDEO:

Today this lovely YARN dog “Jade”, went over the bridge to smile for everyone in heaven… She certainly earned her wings, after guiding (?) rescue dogs at YARN since 2013…

10 Years ago this video went mini-viral – for like a “second”… 87 K views, just to see Jade’s Beautiful Smile…

The dog that got me into rescuing... Jade, just grinning from ear to ear with the most comical face ever. Best dog smile I've ever seen!

UPDATE: These two are not part of the litter of pups (who's mama was killed). Just a mama & one pup dropped at my place... The WL Dog Pound will get them to the big city to find new homes.

A mama dog and one puppy were dropped on my deck today...

I hear someone from Dease Lake was posting - asking about how to get a mama dog and a "litter" of pups to Whitehorse... Leaving me to wonder where the rest of the pups are...?

Note: YARN is not operating at this time... These two littles will be handed over to the Watson Lake Dog Pound...
