I've made things a little easier! If you're a new client looking for services, the best way to get me all the initial information I need is to fill out my New Client Pet Care Request Form below.
It'll ask for the basics: where you're located, what kind of pets you have, what service you're looking for, and the dates you need care. Once I've had a chance to review it, I'll get in touch and we can chat through any additional details! 😊
Just a note: This isn't a form that needs to be filled out for every individual booking! It's simply a way for new clients to give me the information I need when first reaching out.

Turn left instead of right. Walk your normal route backwards. Go down that street you always walk past.

It might not seem very exciting to us, but to your dog? NEW SMELLS!! 🙌

Changing up your route every once in a while gives them new things to sniff, see and investigate, which means they're getting extra mental stimulation along with their walk.

And you don't have to go farther or walk longer to do it!

Sometimes all it takes is going the opposite direction and letting them stick their nose into some new neighbourhood gossip. 😂🐾

If The Pet Nanny was a Halloween costume, apparently this is what you’d get. Leashes, treats, a calendar, stuffed animals, an egg-collecting pouch, and obviously a generous amount of dog hair included for authenticity. 😂🐾

Honestly, between remembering everyone’s schedules, driving around to visit all the animals, and somehow always being covered in fur… it’s pretty accurate.

🐾 Ask the Pet Nanny: What happens if my plans change while I'm already away?

Plans change! You might decide to come home early, get stuck somewhere an extra day, or have a delay that changes your original return time.

The biggest thing? Let me know as soon as you can.

🏠 If you're coming home early:

Send me a message and let me know when you're now expecting to be home so I can adjust my schedule.

Once your booking has begun, any care booked within 24 hours of your new return time is non-refundable. Anything booked beyond that 24-hour window can be refunded.

For example, if you have two more nights booked but tell me you're coming home today, the first night would be non-refundable, but the second night could be refunded.

This is also why advance notice matters! I've definitely pulled into a driveway for a scheduled visit only to discover the family already home and unpacking the van. 😂 A text saying "We're home now!" is technically a heads-up... but it's not quite as helpful when The Pet Nanny is already sitting in your driveway. 😂

✈️ If you're coming home later:

Let me know as soon as you realize you'll need additional pet care.

I'll always do my best to accommodate an extension, but I can't guarantee I'll be available beyond the dates and times you originally booked. If I already have other commitments and can't extend your care, you'll need to arrange for someone else to take over.

If you're simply arriving home a few hours later but your pet doesn't need another visit and I can still finish at our originally scheduled time, there's no need to update me. Enjoy the extra few hours!

Basically, changing plans isn't a problem. Just keep me in the loop when those changes affect your pet's care or my schedule, and we'll figure out the best plan from there. 🐾💛
