Mullen Small Animal Clinic

Happy fall, everyone!
The month of October is Farley Month, which means we are fundraising for this amazing company who helps pet owners in need!
The Farley Foundation is a Canadian charity in Ontario that aids in the cost of non-elective, urgent veterinary care for pets belonging to low-income individuals or families.
Stop in to the clinic to see how we are helping to fundraise for the Farley Foundation!

Summer safety tips

Unlike people, dogs and cats have limited ways to cool themselves, putting them at risk of heat stroke, a life-threatening emergency. Help keep your pet safe this summer by:

🐾 Never leaving them in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.
💧 Providing plenty of fresh water and access to shade or air conditioning.
🚶 Walking dogs during the cooler morning or evening hours.
❤️ Taking extra care with puppies, kittens, senior pets, overweight pets and flat-faced breeds.

Know the warning signs: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle twitching or an anxious, dazed appearance. If you suspect your pet is suffering from heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately.
