Hanover Veterinary Hospital & Walkerton-Hanover Veterinary Clinic Welcomes New Veterinarian!!🎉👩🏻‍⚕️🩺🐾🐕🐈‍⬛🐄🎊

If Dr. Jodie Snoek looks familiar there’s a good reason! Many of our clients and community members may have seen Jodie around the Hanover Veterinary Hospital and Walkerton-Hanover Veterinary Clinic over the years. Her journey with us began as a high school co-op student and continued through summer student positions, veterinary school, and countless shadowing days. We are now excited to officially welcome Dr. Jodie Snoek to our veterinary team!

Jodie was born and raised on a swine and hobby farm between Hanover and Durham, where she developed a passion for agriculture, animal care, and animal welfare from a young age. Her early experiences at our clinics helped confirm her desire to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After completing her undergraduate degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, Jodie went on to graduate from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2026.

As a mixed animal veterinarian Dr. Snoek will be splitting her time between Hanover Veterinary Hospital and Walkerton-Hanover Veterinary Clinic working with both companion animals and livestock. Jodie particularly enjoys the variety that comes with mixed animal practice and is excited to build lasting relationships with both pet owners and agricultural producers throughout the Grey Bruce area.

After watching Jodie grow from a high school co-op student into a veterinarian, our team is especially excited to have her officially join us. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Snoek home to the team and look forward to the many years ahead!

The next time you’re in the clinic, be sure to say hello and welcome Jodie to the team! Whether you’re bringing in a beloved family pet or Jodie is coming to you on the road to care for your livestock, she is looking forward to meeting you and getting to know the animals and families in our community. We’re excited to have her home and officially part of the team!🙌🏻

This sweet little guy named “Owl” (named for the sounds he makes) came to see us feeling a little under the weather. We got him treated for his pneumonia and so he could get back to bouncing around with his siblings in the barn!
