🎉 Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Dr. Jodie Snoek back to our clinic! 🎉

We are so excited to have Dr. Jodie return to our team in her new role as a Mixed Animal Veterinarian.

Be sure to say hello and give Dr. Jodie a warm welcome back—we’re thrilled to have her with us once again! 🐾🐄

Congratulations to Dr. Jodie Snoek, recipient of the 2025/26 Grey Bruce Farmers’ Week Scholarship! 🎉

Growing up on her family's swine farm, Jodie developed a lifelong passion for agriculture and animal health. Today, she is giving back to her community as a mixed animal veterinarian at the Walkerton-Hanover Veterinary Clinic. Her academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to supporting local producers make her a truly deserving recipient of this year's award.

Congratulations, Dr. Snoek, and thank you for your dedication to the future of agriculture and veterinary medicine! 🐄🐖🐑🐾

🐴 National Farriers Week🐴

This week we’re giving a HUGE shoutout to the farriers - the hoof-care heroes who keep our horses comfortable, balanced, and moving their best! 👏🏻✨

Why farriers are so important:
✔️ Healthy hooves = a healthy horse✔️ Regular trims help prevent lameness & injury✔️ Proper shoeing supports joints, tendons & performance✔️ Early hoof issues can be caught before they become big problems

Farriers don’t just trim hooves - they play a vital role in overall equine health, comfort, and longevity. 🐎

So this week, let’s say thank you to the skilled professionals who keep horses sound from the ground up! ❤️

📸 Tag your farrier, share a hoof pic, or give them a well-deserved shoutout below!

This sweet little guy named “Owl” (named for the sounds he makes) came to see us feeling a little under the weather. We got him treated for his pneumonia and so he could get back to bouncing around with his siblings in the barn!
