How about some beautiful 2026 babies on this dreary day?

Small gains. Couple things working against us here. Thyme is very distracted by the looky-loo's lined up along the fence. He also banged up his back left hock when he slipped getting out of the trailer, so we didn't do too much today. I'm not picking at him about his head or nose. That's details. Honestly I am lucky we got what we did, because I did not have his brain on this line.

A lot of our work is getting his ears on me to help him learn to be more focused on the job at hand.

He will get some time off now until next week. I am going to do my best to document his gait evolution. 🤣🤷‍♂️

*Priced very reasonably - posted on my website with video from the spring and early summer * Fresh videos will be posted this week.
Green broke gold ch*****ne gelding
Walk, trot, canter
14.2 hh
Pro’s:
Good for the farrier
Easy to catch
Gentle
Loads
Has been hauled around and ridden since the spring of 2026
Has lived in a mixed herd with mares and foals, has been in with just geldings and with studs (not all at the same time obviously)
No buck, no bolt
He has been ponied and ridden in all sorts of conditions (most recently survived 100km/hr winds and toppling trees at Drayton Valley)
Easy to saddle and bridle
Has some pack training (including panniers and crupper)

Con’s:
He is a registered TWH and had a few weeks of gait training in the spring
He prefers to trot rather than gait
I believe all gaited horses can gait, and so can this one, he just needs proper gait training since he is so square (trotty)
If you are fine with walk, trot, canter on a pretty gelding, he may be the one for you!
He was previously sold but he was not a good fit for that home;
He needs an active rider, someone who is confident enough to not let him get away with green horse behavior. If you are quiet and nervous, he is not for you. He is still a young horse who has his own questions; he needs a leader.
He can be a jerk in the pasture. He’s a horse. I don’t know what he will be like in your herd.

PM me, email, or reach out through the website.

No dogs were harmed during this photoshoot. 🤣

I am convinced Recce was a failed cattle dog in her previous life. She has zero desire to point or retrieve. She is bound and determined to herd horses though, and was very involved in our photoshoot.

Tyr called her bluff in this one though.

Radar, a mare who cannot be contained by mere mortal fencing.

Dusty understood the assignment.

He will cross with either Irma or Whisper next year for a 2028 fox trotter foal. This year he covered Dixie, but she has had trouble settling. Maybe she will surprise us next August or September 🤞.

Dusty had 5 foals land this year. Three on our ranch and two outside mares. The old man's still got it.

Less screen time; more trail time.
