Permello boy has some moves!

And he should, his sire is 2025 Breeding Sire of the Year, Awe Looky Here Now, owned by Homestead Horsemanship .

Awe Looky Here Now is a son of Southern Pl***oy, a Hall Of Fame stallion sired by Southern Sunrise (also a HOF stallion).

While Montana's colour isn't my first choice, it certainly took a backseat to his pedigree and conformation. His sire has proven to produce naturally gaited, well minded offspring. Montana will cross nicely on our Dusty sisters without creme genes.

Meet our two new colts from Wyoming!

These boys are both registered fox trotter colts and represent the future of our breeding program.

It is my dream to selectively breed, raise, train and sell smooth gaited, good minded fox trotters. These two colts represent bloodlines that will cross on our Dusty fillies.

It's not about numbers for us, its about quality.

It will be a few years before either of these boys gets to breed a mare. In the meantime they will be learning to be good citizens with skills under saddle and in hand.

It is part of my dream to have stallions that are socialized, kept on pasture and that are great minded riding horses.

I am really excited to introduce these boys more formally in the future. For now, meet Montana (cremello or perlino, needs to be tested) and Story. Because our trip to Montana to pick them up is a great Story. If you know, you know. 🤣

I just love summer days like today.

The babies are all doing great with their halter training.

Trigger is also progressing in his training. Our goal is to be ready for a riding clinic at the end of October with Carlo Toews. 🤞

More exposure for Trigger today. Big sister Dandi did a good job making sure Trigger didn't pull on me too much. Boss is learning to pony AND lead. He may be big but he's a bit of a chicken. 🤣

Another nice one by Uphill Heir Trigger (same sire as Dandi). Today was his first time packing a saddle. Just the way we like it, zero drama!

Please don't judge the sorry state of my round pen, it has been sorely neglected this year. 🤣
