Our Registered Veterinary Technologists are so much more than the people assisting our veterinarians. They're highly skilled medical professionals, critical thinkers, patient advocates, problem solvers, and sometimes the calm in the middle of absolute chaos.

🩺 They're monitoring anesthesia and managing complex medical cases.
🩸 They're performing life-saving transfusions and providing critical care.
💉 They're placing catheters, running diagnostics, and catching the smallest changes in their patients.
❤️ They're comforting frightened animals, supporting worried families, and giving their hearts to patients who can't tell us what's wrong.

And they're doing it all while juggling emergencies, supporting their teammates, sharing their knowledge, and occasionally surviving on cold coffee and sheer determination! ☕🐾

To our incredible WAVES RVTs: We see your dedication, your compassion, your knowledge, and the countless things you do behind the scenes that often go unnoticed. The work you do is challenging, emotional, exhausting, and incredibly important. WAVES simply wouldn't be WAVES without you.

A few quick reminders for your furry adventure buddies:

- Keep pets cool and make sure they have plenty of fresh water 💦
Life jackets are a great idea for boating and swimming — even for strong swimmers!
- Keep tempting BBQ foods, bones and garbage out of reach 🌭
- Make sure tags and microchip information are up to date before heading out on adventures

And, as always, WAVES Emergency is here 24/7 throughout the long weekend if your pet needs us. 💙

Happy Veterinary Assistant Week to our incredible Vet Assistants! 🐾💙

This week we're celebrating the amazing people who keep our hospital running behind the scenes. From comforting nervous patients and supporting our technicians and veterinarians to keeping things clean, organized, and ready for whatever comes through the door, our Vet Assistants do it all with compassion, dedication, and heart.

To celebrate, we've put together some sweet snackle boxes 🍬 and created Superhero Power appreciation posters where everyone can share the special "superpowers" they've noticed in our VAs. Whether it's always staying calm under pressure, having an eye for detail, making patients feel safe, or simply being the first to jump in and help, every kind word matters.

To all of our VAs—thank you for everything you do. Your hard work, kindness, and dedication make a difference every single day, and we couldn't do it without you. Happy Veterinary Assistant Week!

Our surgeon, Dr. Aoki, is known for the care and compassion he brings to every patient—because sometimes, healing starts with something as simple as a moment like this with patients like Jade.

We’re big believers in the power of a good hug—especially when it comes with four legs. 🐾💙
