With the hot weather here, just a reminder to help keep your dog safe. Try to walk them during the cooler parts of the day. Make sure they always have access to fresh water, shade, and a cool place to rest. Some dogs may also enjoy a little paddling pool to cool off.
Please never leave your dog in a parked car, avoid hot pavement, and keep them out of direct sunlight for long periods. Watch for signs of heatstroke such as excessive panting, drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, increased heart rate, or seizures. Flat-faced breeds, senior dogs, and overweight dogs can be at even higher risk.
