Week 4 of Summer Camp is officially underway! ☀️🐾

Can you believe we’re already here?! Here’s a little recap of all the fun from the first three weeks. 😍

From splashing through water games and tackling enrichment challenges to sniffing, learning, exploring, agility, and now showing off their artistic talents this week, our campers have been making the most of every adventure. We absolutely love watching each dog’s personality shine as they earn their weekly bandanas and badges. 💛

Summer Camp Week 2 is underway!

JUMP is the theme, and Agility is the name of the game. Our goal is to build confidence around new experiences, and this is what that looks like 😍

Daboo was ~not sure~ about the agility jump, so we slowly built comfort with proximity, rewarding her for closeness. Then we encouraged her to hop over on a lower set bar, we slowly worked our way up and she was springing right over the bar by the end!

🏕️ Welcome to Ruffin’ It’s second annual Summer Camp! ☀️🐾

This year we’re turning enrichment into an adventure. Each week our campers tackle a new challenge, earn a themed badge for their bandana, and build confidence through play.

🌊 Week 1: PLUNGE

Our first challenge is Bobbing Bowls - floating bowls filled with goodies like yogurt, pumpkin, and treats drifting around in water. Dogs get to investigate, problem-solve, and interact with moving, novel objects at their own pace. We build confidence with novel experiences by moving at their pace with some solid one-on-one time with our enrichment tech.

It might look like a fun snack (and it is!), but it’s also designed to encourage curiosity, confidence, and thoughtful engagement with new experiences.

Our favourite thing about the Slatmill is the way it builds confidence around novel, and moving items. Not to mention the exercise!

Ranger has gotten so confident that he will now hop up and wait to get harnessed in all on his own!
