Catfe is Vancouver’s original cat cafe, established in 2015 and located on the second floor of International Village Mall (aka ‘Tinseltown’ Mall), where Chinatown meets Gastown. We are partnered with various animal rescues and their teams of fosters and volun

teers to help adoptable rescue cats from all over Canada find loving homes. Our cat cafe is both a temporary foster environment for rescue cats, and a welcoming space for cat lovers in need of some animal therapy. Enjoy cat-themed drinks and snacks, browse our shop full of fun meowchandise and supplies for your cat, and make some new feline furriends! One of North America's first cat cafes, Catfe has found homes for over 1300 cats since opening in December 2015.

We expected it to be busier around here because of the World Cup, but it's actually been quite the opposite... seems like everyone is hanging at the watch parties instead, but this is the only kind of watch party we offer at Catfe! 😹⚽️😻 It's a game day today, so there are extra road closures, but give yourself a little extra travel time and you can still get to the kitties easily, driving from Pender onto Abbott street to access our parkade. Meow Hiring! 😻 Catfe is accepting resumes for a part-time purrista to start in July 2026.

Our staff are known for their super friendly, thoughtful and engaging customer service, and we’re looking for hard-working, positive individuals to join the crew.

• Requirements include at least one to two years of previous cafe, retail and cashier experience, high attention to detail, excellent communication, observational and math skills, a kind and positive demeanor, and the willingness to go the extra mile to make someone’s day special.

• As a cafe with live animals on the premises, this job necessitates maintaining a clean, sanitized and orderly environment at all times.

• Must be able to do physcial labour such as mopping, moving and lifting furniture, squatting and kneeling to clean kennels and litter boxes.

• Must be able to work all types of opening and closing shifts ranging from 4.5 to 8 hours.

• Food Safe certification is an asset.

• Starting wage is $18.50 to $19/h plus tips. Perks include staff discounts and a free drink during your shift; witnessing silly cat antics on a daily basis; making a difference by educating the public about cat care, and helping rescue animals find their furever homes.
