Have you noticed our Cat Corners?
We have a dedicated cat areas in both our ICU and our wards, because we know that being in hospital can be stressful and overwhelming for our feline patients.
While our dog patients often feel more comfortable with a little more open space and the ability to see what’s happening around them, our feline patients can feel much more vulnerable in a hospital environment.
Cats feel safest when they have a quiet, secure space where they can hide, rest and observe their surroundings without feeling exposed.
Providing a designated cat friendly area helps reduce unnecessary stress and gives them a little sense of comfort and control while they receive the care they need.
From their medical care to the environment around them, every little detail matters when it comes to helping our patients feel safe and supported.
Because sometimes, the best medicine is a little privacy and a cozy place to hide.
