Let’s celebrate our technologists during RVT month

Introducing Kirsten, RVT 🐾

A bit about Kirsten:

🎓 Kirsten graduated from her veterinary technician program in 2023.

👩‍⚕️ She joined the GVC team in 2023, after completing her practicum with us.

🐷🦉 Kirsten’s favourite part of the job is never knowing what might walk through the door next!

When she’s not at work, you’ll find Kirsten spending her summers riding her horses—either chasing cans (barrel racing 😉) or roping—and her winters on top of a mountain sledding. 🐎🏔️

Meet our newest adoptable feline friend 💛

Mozza is a loveable boy who will gladly rub up against you or just chill in the same room as you. He came to us pretty timid but he has been warming up very quickly - due to this, he would likely do best in a quieter home until he settles and feels comfortable with his space.

Mozza is very good about using his litterbox and loves having cozy beds to curl up in.

Adoption includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip, deworming and a pet insurance trial

If you think Mozza would fit into your home, please give us a call or stop by the clinic. Prior to being in our care, Mozza had been spotted living outdoors so a barn/shop life may also be very suitable for him

Today we said goodbye to our first University of Calgary Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) student Reillee. Reillee spent the last 2 weeks with us learning more about rural medicine with a large animal focus.

Many of our producers got to meet her during pregnancy checking their herds 🐮, and some of our small animal clients also got to see her shadowing our doctors during exam room appointments 🐶.

Her bubbly personality and eagerness to learn from the entire team makes it sad to see her go so quickly, but we know she will continue to excel throughout her final year of school and wish her well as she moves onto more rotations throughout the province.

A dog on one side, a cat on the other, and nowhere else you'd rather be. 🐶🐱🤍 October has this way of slowing everything down just enough to remind you what actually matters. The cozy sweater weather is coming and your pets are absolutely ready for it. 🍂

Are you a dog person, a cat person, or fully committed to both? Tell us below!

Are you looking for a new boy in your life?

Stop by to meet Ollie 🩶

Ollie does seem like he may have been living outdoors prior to coming into our care, but has also been quite tidy with his space so would likely do well in any home setting.

Ollie has not been tested with other animals at this time, but LOVES people

Give us a call, or stop by to meet Ollie and learn more about his adoption process
