🐴 Years ago, I had a riding instructor tell me that I would never be good enough. According to her, I hadn't ridden enough different horses to become a truly good rider.
The other day, after finishing a ride with Splendid, I found myself thinking about that comment.
What does "good enough" actually mean?
I don't need to be a good enough rider to go to the Olympics.
I don't need to be a good enough rider to jump a three-foot course.
I don't need to be a good enough rider to impress everyone watching from the sidelines.
I simply need to be a good enough rider to enjoy my horse, feel confident in the saddle, and find happiness in the time we spend together.
And honestly, that's enough.
Taping is no different.
Many people worry that they don't have enough clients, enough horses, enough experience, or enough opportunities to practice.
But becoming skilled at something isn't about comparing your journey to someone else's.
It's about showing up consistently, practicing a little every day.
It's about learning from mistakes, building confidence, and improving one application at a time.
You don't need to be the best.
You don't need hundreds of horses.
You don't need to meet someone else's definition of success.
You only need to become good enough for the goals you've set for yourself.
✨ My good enough is great for me.
