Canadian Animal Task Force

Canadian Animal Task Force Partnering with individuals and communities requesting guidance, support, and resources to humanely manage their companion population and more! πŸ’šπŸ’™

Together, We Help Animals. At Canadian Animal Task Force, our work often begins with people β€” and leads to better outcomes for animals. While we aren’t a traditional rescue organization, we regularly support animals in urgent or at-risk situations. We collaborate with local rescues, shelters, and Indigenous community partners to ensure animals in need are placed with the right groups for ongoing c

are or adoption. Through our programs β€” from large-scale spay/neuter clinics to crisis response and support for pet owners β€” we often encounter animals that require temporary care, emergency intervention, or safe placement. In these moments, we act as a connector: stepping in to provide help and working with trusted partners to find the right path forward.

Priorities. ✨

When Twiggs returned home after his neuter with the Task Force he had exactly one thing on the agenda.

The moment his crate door opened, he was off on a mission β€” straight to his favourite stuffy.

No exploring. No snacks. No catching up.

Just a determined trot across the yard, toy secured, and all was right in the world again. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Safe to say someone was pretty delighted to be reunited with their very special friend.

A heartfelt thank you to the community of Frog Lake First Nation β€” and especially to the hardworking members who answered the call to help us prepare for the journey home Sunday afternoon. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Cleaning, disinfecting, stacking, and packing hundreds of crates is no small task, and seeing people step in to lend a hand made a huge difference.

One of the most incredible things we’ve witnessed throughout this clinic season has been the growing level of community engagement at our on-site clinics. More and more people are coming out to help, learn, support animals, and be part of the work happening behind the scenes β€” and honestly, it’s been amazing to see.

These clinics are built through collaboration, teamwork, and communities coming together with a shared goal of helping animals and the people connected to them.

If a clinic is hosted in your community, we would absolutely love for you to come volunteer and experience what it’s all about from the inside.

Super Sunday has arrived and Team Task Force is HUSTLING. ⚑️🐾

Even when the lights unexpectedly went out for a short stretch this morning… clinic flow barely skipped a beat. Surgery continued moving, recovery kept rolling, and this incredible team adapted like the well-oiled machine they are. 😼

Final spay/neuter surgeries are now underway, while cats and dogs continue heading home to their families all day long after receiving care.

A heartfelt thank you to the members of Frog Lake First Nation for the warm welcome, kindness, and trust placed in us to care for beloved companion animals throughout the weekend. It’s a privilege to work alongside this community once again. πŸ’™πŸ’š

And while all of this is happening… our 50/50 is also heating up πŸ‘€πŸ’°

Every ticket helps support clinics just like this one β€” helping make accessible veterinary care possible for animals and communities across Alberta.

How sweet of MadeGood to donate 300 Trail Mix Organic Granola Bites to help fuel Task Force volunteers through clinic season! πŸ’™πŸ’š

We picked up an incredible donation of 10 cases on Friday β€” packed with gluten-free and nut-free snacks perfect for busy clinic weekends, long shifts, and volunteers constantly on the move helping animals. 🐾

Safe to say these tasty little bites are going to disappear VERY quickly around here. 😼

Huge thanks to MadeGood for helping keep our team energized for the clinics ahead! ⚑️
