💔 255 days… and Dolly is losing hope 💔

Every morning, Dolly wakes up in the same shelter kennel instead of a home.
And every night, she falls asleep there alone again.
For 255 days, she has lived the same heartbreaking routine… waking up and going to sleep in the exact same small space, watching other dogs leave while she is still waiting.

Dolly was once someone’s beloved dog, before she was found dumped on a back road in Crossfield and never reclaimed.

Since then, she has carried deep separation anxiety—not because she is difficult, but because she is terrified of being abandoned again.

She did get a chance at a home, but it didn’t work out due to her anxiety, and she returned to the shelter.
Since then, things have become even harder. She recently had a paw injury from another dog, and the stress of the shelter environment keeps causing her bandage to reopen, making healing incredibly difficult.

This is not a life she can keep living.
And still… Dolly loves.
She still looks for people.
Still leans into affection.
Still hopes someone will finally choose her.

We are incredibly grateful to share that this amazing wine basket has once again been donated back to KCS Animal Rescue Society to help us continue raising funds for the animals in our care 💛🍷

Right now, our rescue is facing a very difficult month financially. We are currently trying to raise funds to cover our rent and outstanding veterinary bills, which have climbed to over $3,000. Every dollar truly makes a difference and helps us continue keeping our doors open for the animals who need us most.

Update: WOW! 🤯 Paco has been shared across the continent! So that be said we need to clarify a couple things: we are located in Alberta, Canada - his adoption fee is CAD - lastly, holy smokes there is over 20 applications! Please bare with us as we review.

🐾 Meet Paco 🐾Approx. 2 years old | Adoption Fee: $500

Paco may be shy at first and nervous around new people, but once you earn his trust, you’ll have a best friend for life. ❤️

His favourite place to be is right beside his person. Whether he’s following you around the house, curled up beside you on the couch, or snuggled in bed, Paco always wants to be close. Once he lets you in, his loyalty and love are endless.

Even though he can be timid, Paco is an incredibly laid back and easygoing dog. He trusts deeply and looks to his people for comfort and confidence. As long as you’re by his side, he’s willing to take on anything — new places, meeting people, baths, vet visits, and even those yucky medications. He puts his full trust in the people he loves.

Paco is:🐶 Good with dogs🐱 Good with cats (although he prefers they respect his space)👧 Good with children, and seems especially fond of them🚽 Potty trained🦮 Good on leash😴 Extremely calm and low energy

He enjoys walks but prefers to stay at the back of the pack where he can keep an eye on everyone. Around the house, Paco is happiest curled up having a nap near his people.

Paco would thrive in a calm, quiet home with patient adopters who will give him the time he needs to settle in and feel safe. In return, you’ll get one of the sweetest, most loving companions you could ask for. ❤️

🚨 EMERGENCY BOTTLE DRIVE FOR MARCUS 🚨

We desperately need your help to save Marcus 💔🐾

Marcus is currently under 24 hour care at Trinity Hills after becoming critically ill, and the vet bills are quickly adding up. Rescue never stops, and right now we are asking our community to rally behind this sweet boy.

We will be out TOMORROW (Tuesday) afternoon collecting bottles. If you have empties you would like picked up, please message the page with your address and we will do our best to get to everyone.
