Just a little photo series of best buds Gracie and Blue

The first time I went to take Fru out for her first walk, she was home alone and was so offended by my presence that she barked at me, jumped on top of the kitchen table, and while giving me the death stare, proceeded to p*e for 10 seconds. Go ahead and count that out while picturing this little dog on top of a table. That's a long p*e. I've never encountered that response before🤣. It was highly comical but I felt maybe not the best way to start our relationship so for the first time I had to call the owner and cancel her walk.

Today Fru's owner was there for pick up and the transition went much more smoothly. Before we reached the forest, Fru was already cuddling in my lap.

This video shows Fru's first walk with the pack. All new dogs spend their first walk on leash. If they are looking comfortable enough, they get to go off leash on their next walk. Looks to me like Fru is looking very keen and eager and ready to run and chase and play😁. She'll be off leash next walk.

Also in this video, we chased a wild animal up a tree.

Poe exhibiting the rare dexterity necessary to select the right blackberries without getting a mouthful of thorns. While a number of dogs will eat other berries, most are put off by these thorns. Poe, however, has a history of pushing her luck🤣

Role call with the littles and intro to Dio. Dio is the newest pack member and has a bit more of a cautious disposition. He only recently graduated to off-leash and only recently started feeling comfortable enough to eat around the other dogs. So him not coming into the crowd felt like a little set back but wasn't too surprising. Or so I thought...

W**e tastes like cheap perfume to me. Such a waste of good grapes when grape juice is perfectly delicious. But I know for many people the expression 'sweeter than w**e' is understood to be a compliment. Well, the Thursday afternoon pack was sweeter than w**e today😁. And that's a rare wildlife sighting at the beginning--- in this case a garter snake!
