Woolies of Upperbrook Farm

Woolies of Upperbrook Farm Upperbrook Farm has been our haven since 1972. It is home to purebred Cheviot sheep & a menagerie of critters.

In 2012 we added a Belfast Mini Mill to process our wool for bedding. We are passionate about wool and how we can share this Fibre love.

2 chicks that passed in the night!

Last night’s dusk with a very full moon provided lots of light for these free ranging meat chickens.

Most of the other chicks were in the yard awaiting going into their “cottage”. This sounds so much better than “shed”!

A few recent farm pics…

My Great Pyrenees makes a great barrier to the chicken house.

My sheep and goat are loving Dueck’s carrot tops from trurofarmersmarket. Great way to share more if the carrot plants.

The meat chickens are 3.5 weeks old now and enjoying the great outdoors ( when my dog doesn’t block the door that is).

The Indian Runner and Saxony ducks have grown so much these last few months. Hard to believe they were hatched in May.

My new Scotch Collie pup is growing like a w**d and keeping a close eye on the sheep, plus ducks, plus plus other critters.

I love my old barn against the evening sky. I thought other folk might like it also!

It’s been a busy week this week….

Black currants are ripe -still need to pick some trurofarmersmarket I’m taking orders for berries for tomorrow meetup

Two sets of twin lambs arrived💕with 2 more ewes yet to lamb.

New chicks are under my sitting frizzle hen…5 that I could see with more that she had covered by her large wingspan! Pics to follow.

5 year composted sheep manure going out the door today-ask how to get yours for the fall plantings or next years garden prep.

And hay making is late but organized for the next few drying series of days.

New “barn kittens” are still living in the house…

New working puppy Scotch Collie arrived last Thursday …

First attempt at sourdough anything, mostly eaten but not my best baking …Will try again.
