🌿 Spring is here — and your horse’s body feels the change! 🌿

As the weather warms up and we start riding more, many horses are coming out of winter with tight muscles, stiffness, and reduced flexibility. Just like us, they need help getting their bodies ready for the busy season ahead.

Equine massage can help with:
• Releasing winter stiffness
• Improving circulation and muscle recovery
• Increasing flexibility and range of motion
• Supporting performance horses returning to work
• Keeping your horse comfortable and happy

Whether your horse is a barrel racer, trail partner, lesson horse, or retired pasture ornament — massage therapy can make a big difference in their comfort and movement.

🌼 Spring appointments are now booking!
Give your horse the reset they deserve after a long winter.

📩 Message the page or contact me to schedule your horse’s spring session.

I’m often asked why my equine massage sessions are only $60 when many bodyworkers charge significantly more. The answer is simple: I keep my rates affordable because I care about the horses.

I own seven horses myself, and I understand how expensive good care can be. Bodywork is an important part of keeping horses comfortable, sound, and happy, and I never want owners to feel like they can’t provide that because of cost. I would rather see more horses receive the help they need than raise my prices just because it’s the industry norm.

Even at an accessible price, the quality of my work is not discounted.

I am a certified equine massage therapist, currently working toward becoming a Registered Equine Massage Body Worker. I bring five years of hands-on experience with many different horses—seniors, performance horses, green horses, and everything in between. Every session includes a full head-to-tail assessment, pain reaction testing, muscle and fascia evaluation, and targeted massage work based on the issues I find.

Each session lasts around 45 minutes and is completely tailored to your horse. I focus on reading their body language, addressing soreness, releasing tight areas, and helping them move and feel better overall. Most owners see a noticeable difference within the first session, and the horses certainly tell us when their bodies feel better.

My goal has always been the same: to offer honest, effective, accessible bodywork that truly benefits the horse. If you ever have questions about my process or want to learn more during your session, I’m always happy to explain what I’m finding.

Thank you to everyone who continues to trust me with their horses’ care.

Have doubts before your horse’s massage? Or hesitating to book?

When I arrive for your horse’s massage, my goal is to help them feel comfortable, relaxed, and free of tension — while giving you clear explanations every step of the way.

📝 Before We Begin

I’ll start by asking a few questions:
• What does your horse struggle with?
• Any recent changes in behaviour, training, or comfort?
• Any known areas of pain or past injuries?

This helps me understand what your horse needs before I even lay hands on them.

🤲 Full Hands-On Assessment

I’ll go over your horse from poll to tail, checking for:
• Pain reactions
• Swelling or inflammation
• Muscle tightness and soreness
• Trigger points
• Range of motion restrictions
• Compensation patterns

This part tells me exactly where your horse needs the most help.

💆 The Massage Session

I begin working on the major problem areas first, using techniques best suited for what I find.
I’ll explain what I’m doing as we go so you can follow along and learn your horse’s body.

Your horse will show me how they feel — licking, chewing, yawning, sighing, stretching… or telling me “that’s a bit much!” Horses are incredibly expressive during bodywork.

The full session is usually around 45 minutes, depending on what your horse needs.

✨ After the Massage

Every horse responds differently:
• Some become very relaxed, sleepy, and loose
• Others feel energized, happy, and playful (yes — sometimes they run off bucking!)

Just like people, horses may feel:
• More flexible
• Looser in the muscles
• Slightly tired
• Or a little muscle-sore the next day

This is all normal, and I’ll tell you what to expect for your horse based on what I found.

❓ Have Questions?

You’re always welcome to message me before or after your session!

All animal and pet owners!!!!
The Nova Scotia Veterinary Medical Association is making changes to the Act. They have a public survey available ONLY until Monday February 9th.

IF you want to be able to have your say please complete the survey.

It is not fair that you can give your child Tylenol but have to make a vet appointment to give the equivalent to your horse / pet.

You should be able to decide if you want chiro or massage for your animal without paying for vet approval.

And don’t forgot those that are trained to float your horse manually.

Please let’s take some control back over our own animals!! Survey available at nsvma.ca

💆‍♀️ Why Equine Massage Is So Important 💆‍♀️

Massage isn’t just for high-level performance horses — it’s beneficial for every horse, at every stage of life.

✨ Equine massage helps with:
• Improving blood flow & circulation
• Reducing muscle tension and soreness
• Helping manage inflammation
• Supporting recovery and overall comfort
• Promoting relaxation and mental well-being

Horses hold tension just like we do — from turnout slips, growth changes, pasture play, trailering, age, or simply daily life.

🐎 Massage is great for:
• Performance & working horses
• Senior horses who need extra comfort
• Horses not currently in work
• Foals, weanlings & yearlings during growth and development

💙 Added benefit with my sessions:
I also provide magnetic sheets, which help promote circulation, reduce muscle tension, aid in recovery, and support overall physical wellness during the massage.

Massage is about keeping horses comfortable, balanced, and feeling their best — not just fixing problems, but helping prevent them too.

If you have questions or want to see if massage could benefit your horse, feel free to message me 🐴✨

Also! Have questions about mules and donkey massages?
