Congratulations to FSgt Samin Bansal on earning his Power Pilot Wings after successfully completing the Power Pilot Training Course (PPTC) in Regina, Saskatchewan!

On July 18, 2026, he completed his first solo flight, a major milestone in every pilot’s career that marks the first flight conducted independently of an instructor. The milestone was followed by the traditional solo bath, where newly soloed pilots are drenched in water!

Congratulations to WO2 Althea Chen on earning her glider pilot wings after successfully completing the Glider Pilot Training Course (GPTC) at St-Jean, Québec!

July 17, 2026 marked her first solo flight, which was followed by the traditional solo bath. Additionally, as her instructor’s first student to solo, the milestone was celebrated with a well-deserved dunking for both her and her instructor!

GPTC is a highly competitive summer program through the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, where cadets undergo intensive ground school and flight training as they work towards earning their glider pilot licence.

📢 FIRST SENIOR TRAINING NIGHT - September 3
Our senior cadets are the first to return. This training night is ONLY for Level 4 & 5 cadets.
👔 Dress: C5
⏰ Time: 1800-2130hrs

🎉 FIRST TRAINING NIGHT - September 10
Welcome back all returning cadets! We’re excited to have you all back for another year. Parents/guardians MUST attend with their cadet to complete and sign the Annual Validation Form and Code of Conduct. Please bring a blue pen to sign, if possible!

Take a look back at our 47th Annual Ceremonial Review! 🎉

On June 13, 2026, 166 came together to celebrate the dedication, growth, and accomplishments of our cadets throughout the 2025-2026 training year.

Our ACR was a celebration of everything our cadets worked towards throughout the year 🥳. A huge congratulations to all of our award recipients and to every cadet for their hard work, commitment, and dedication throughout the year! 👏

We would also like to thank our cadets, staff, volunteers, parents, guardians, and supporters for helping make another successful training year possible. Your continued support means so much to 166! 💙
