🐾💙 Meet Boomer! 💙🐾

Our sweet friend Boomer became a familiar face around the clinic while recovering from a broken toe. 🩺🐶 For several weeks, he visited us regularly for bandage changes, and he was truly the best patient every single time! ✨

From wagging tails to the cutest little bleps 👅, Boomer made every appointment brighter. His calm, gentle personality quickly made him a staff favourite, and we always looked forward to seeing him each week. 🥹❤️

🐾 Why are regular bandage changes so important?
🩹 Keep the bandage clean and dry
🦴 Support proper bone healing
🩺 Monitor the injury for swelling or pressure sores
✨ Ensure the bandage continues to fit comfortably as healing progresses

The best news? 🎉 Boomer has officially graduated from his weekly bandage changes! While he’s still on his road to recovery, he’s healing beautifully and no longer needs those regular visits. We couldn’t be happier for him… although we definitely miss seeing his adorable face around the clinic every week! 💙

Way to go, Boomer! We hope you’re enjoying getting back to your favourite adventures, one careful step at a time. 🐾🥰

🐾🩷 Meet Oakley! 🩷🐾

Can we all take a moment for this adorable face?! 🥹💕 Oakley came to see us for her very first visit, and she arrived in the cutest way possible… all cozy and snuggled up in her puppy purse! 👜🐶💖

First puppy visits are one of our favourite milestones because they help lay the foundation for a lifetime of happy, healthy veterinary visits. 🩺✨

During a first puppy appointment, we:
💗 Perform a complete nose-to-tail physical exam
⚖️ Check growth and body condition
💉 Discuss and begin their vaccine schedule
🦠 Talk about parasite prevention and deworming
🍽️ Answer questions about nutrition, training, and puppy care
🏡 Help set your newest family member up for a lifetime of good health

✨ Early positive experiences at the veterinary clinic can help puppies grow into confident dogs who are comfortable visiting the vet throughout their lives. 🥰🐾

Meet Hairy Winston 🩵✨

This gorgeous, squishy-faced gentleman was in with us for a dental cleaning and some extractions — and he absolutely stole our hearts with his curly whiskers and beautiful face 🤍

With faces like Winston’s (hello Exotic Shorthair cuteness 😍), dental care can be a little more challenging. That adorable flat face can make positioning for dental X-rays trickier — but our RVTs always find a way 💪🦷 because getting those X-rays is SO important for a full picture of what’s happening below the gumline.

🦷 Why dental X-rays matter:
• They let us see hidden disease (like root infections or resorptive lesions)
• Help guide which teeth need to be extracted
• Ensure we’re not missing anything painful beneath the surface

Winston did need some extractions, but like most cats, he’ll feel SO much better now that those painful teeth are gone 💙 Cats are amazing at hiding dental pain — so even when they seem “fine,” they could be dealing with a lot of discomfort.

And let’s be honest… he was the bravest (and cutest) patient the whole time 🥹

Meet Sora 🖤🤍

This little fluff was in for his neuter — and safe to say he completely stole our hearts (as always) 🥹✨ Just look at that face!!

Neutering isn’t just about preventing unwanted litters — it has so many important health and behavioural benefits for our pups 🐶💙
• Helps reduce the risk of certain cancers (like testicular cancer)
• Can decrease roaming and marking behaviours 🚫

Meet Sir Charles 👑🐾

This tiny king was in with us for his puppy vaccines, and let’s just say… he completely stole our hearts (and the spotlight) 🥹✨

Puppy visits are so important to set them up for a lifetime of health — and Sir Charles was the perfect little patient 💙

Here’s what puppy vaccines help protect against:

💉 Distemper
💉 Parvovirus
💉 Adenovirus (Hepatitis)
💉 Parainfluenza
💉 Leptospirosis (based on lifestyle)

Meet Hank 🤍🦷

This handsome boy was in with us for a dental cleaning with extractions and he was such a good patient from start to finish 🥹✨

Dental procedures are so important for our pets — even when their teeth look okay on the surface, there can be a lot happening below the gumline 🐶💙

Here’s what Hank’s dental included:

🦷 Full oral exam under anesthesia
🦷 Scaling & polishing to remove plaque and tartar
🦷 Dental x-rays to assess below the gumline
🦷 Checking for hidden disease (like infection or resorptive changes) with a few extractions

Why dentals matter:

✨ Prevents pain and infection
✨ Protects organs (bacteria from the mouth can spread)
✨ Keeps your pet eating comfortably
✨ Improves overall quality of life

The tricky part? Most pets won’t show obvious signs of dental pain until it’s already advanced 😔

This handsome boy was in with us for his neuter surgery, and he was such a gentle, brave patient from start to finish 🥹🐾

Neutering is an important part of your pet’s health and wellbeing — and Maximus handled his big day like a total champ 💙

Meet Luna 🎀🩷

This sweet girl was in with us for her laparoscopic spay, and she did absolutely amazing ✨🐾

A lap spay is a minimally invasive procedure that uses small incisions and a camera, making it a gentler option for our patients 💙

Here’s why we love it:

✨ Less pain and inflammation
✨ Smaller incisions
✨ Faster recovery time
✨ Quicker return to normal activity

Spaying is also an important part of preventative care — helping reduce the risk of uterine infections and certain cancers later in life 🐶💕
