Midtown Mobile Veterinary Hospice Services is an in-home veterinary practice that focuses on ill and aging pets. Geriatric consultations, palliative care and/or hospice consultations will all begin with a review of your pet’s medical history followed by a discussion of your pet’s current condition or illness. A physical examination and detailed evaluation will allow our veterinarians to determine

whether or not your pet may be in pain. In-home consultations allow proper observation of your pet in their normal environment allowing identification of any areas of concern. We will discuss your pet’s nutritional and hydration needs, quality of life, pain management and much, much more. An in-depth conversation regarding your concerns, fears, needs, and goals regarding the condition of your pet including frank discussions about end-of-life/euthanasia, where appropriate, will also occur. Within a few days you will receive a personalized plan with information on the care of your pet. All of the information shared during the consultation will be included in your personalized plan, as well as information and action plans to help ensure your pet does not suffer during his or her last weeks or days at home. Our vets can also work with your regular veterinarian to set up in-home care for treatments they have recommended. If you are having feelings of guilt about euthanizing your pet or you are not sure if this is the right time to do it, an end-of-life/euthanasia consultation with our vets may help make this heart-wrenching decision easier. She will discuss several ways to determine your pet’s quality of life. Your pet trusts and relies on you to decide what is best for them. So together, we will evaluate your own needs and concerns and those of your pet. Discussions about the way you may want your pet to pass will be discussed and your desires for marking or memorializing your pet exactly the way you want will be planned. Although these are very difficult and emotionally charged discussions, owners will often cope better with the loss of their pet if they have prepared for it through these discussions.

Freddie! was the best friend anyone could ask for, and everyone who met him loved him. He was gentle (unless you were a fly or piece of string), loving, brave, trusting, smart, funny, and a little mischievous. He was quick with a slow blink, loved taking the GO train and watching the scenery pass by, could never spend long enough in my lap, and always brightened even the darkest of days. To say he will be missed is an understatement and there aren't enough words to describe how special he was or how much he meant to me.

Goodbye, my Freddie Fry, you were the best. I love you.

Little Boy.
Lookie Loo.
Monkey Doo.
Mr. Ching.

Some of his nicknames over the years.

At the age of 6 Toby was given to me by my mother, who chose to rehome him after he bit her. I had previously spent plenty of time cat-sitting while my parents were out of the country. I absolutely fell in love with Toby and did not think twice about bringing him into my home.

One of his favourite activities was play-fighting with me.

Once in a while, I let him bite me.

It was my way of letting him think he was “winning”. After the battle was over, he’d immediately return to purring and snuggling. Often, he would purr while biting me, which I found adorable.

Toby knew and loved the word “bedtime” and would immediately run upstairs to the bedroom once it was spoken, only to wait by my bedside for the mandatory “double-pat”, which let him know that I was settled in and his spot beside me was ready. (It had to be perfectly flat). There he would purr and knead his paws until the petting ceased and we drifted off to sleep.

He loved rearranged furniture as much as I do, with his favourite part of the process being the halfway-point, when couches, tables, and chairs were strewn all over the room, ready for him to jump on and claim the best vantage point.

In April, at age 15, Toby was diagnosed with lymphoma, and we were forced to prepare for goodbye.

He lived another 7 weeks. I spent every single day with him, doing everything I could to keep him happy and comfortable. I will forever be grateful for that borrowed time with my little guy.

On June 15th, 2026, we laid our sweet Toby to rest. Despite his fragile state, I believe his last day was a good one. Filled with tuna treats, and time in the sunny backyard.

Toby has brought so much joy to all of our lives and will be forever missed by our family.

When the time comes to say goodbye, how you do it matters.

In-home pet euthanasia offers a gentle, familiar option for families seeking comfort during their pet’s final moments. It allows for a more personal and private goodbye in a setting where your pet feels safe.

Here are six reasons it may be the right choice for you and your pet.

Our sweet Louie.

A fierce protector of his family and his home. A wildly athletic boy, who could catch a ball or Frisbee at any given time. A natural in the water, he was one with the fish!

He was known to bring anyone a shoe the minute you walked in the front door, and who knew how much we'd miss searching for that other shoe when we needed to leave the house for work or school and daycare?

Your kids, who are still so little, are battling with the idea that you aren't with us anymore, and if you can hear them, they wanted to say that they love you.

We miss you, and we wish we could have loved you here with us for a while longer, LouLou.

Thank you to Dr. George, who was nothing short of kind, compassionate and caring for our boy.

With gratitude,
Louie's family.

🧡 🌈 🐾 In loving memory of Stella🧡 🌈 🐾

Stella came into our lives during one of the busiest and most tender seasons of our own. We were new parents with a 9-month-old baby, running a pet business, and already sharing our home with two dogs. Life was full—but Stella was meant to find us.

One August afternoon in 2022, we received a call asking us to help save a young dog. She had scars across her muzzle and under her eye, her ribs showing, her spirit rowdy but broken. JJ took one look at me while I stood at the sink and said, “I have to go save this one. She’s a pitty mix—we can’t let her fall into the wrong hands.” He left that day and came home with Stella.

At just five months old, Stella had already endured more than any dog should. She was afraid of humans and carried the weight of a hard start to life. We nurtured her patiently, giving her safety, consistency, and love. Slowly, she learned to trust. Stella blossomed into a wonderful addition to our family.

Our daughter Eliza adored her instantly. Stella was so gentle, so eager to belong, and so devoted to staying by our side. She was the missing puzzle piece we didn’t know our family needed. In a home already full of motion and love, Stella fit perfectly. On her first birthday, we knew without question—she was home forever.
We were only given four very short years with Stella. In March 2026, our world shifted when she was diagnosed with nasal sarcoma, and suddenly time felt cruel and limited. Saying goodbye came far too soon.

We miss Stella more than words can express. Our family is grieving deeply. Her brother Logan and sister Harley search for her, and our daily routines feel incomplete without her presence. Her friends miss her dearly. Stella was our spark plug—our light, our constant—and now the space she filled feels impossibly quiet.

Though she is gone, Stella lives on in every memory we hold close. We will carry her legacy with us always. We will tell Eliza stories of her best friend for years to come, making sure she is never forgotten.

We love you endlessly, Stella.
Four years was not enough.

We lost our dear handsome boy Edward on June 22, 2026 and we are devastated.
He was 17 years old.

Edward was a perfect balance of fierce and cuddly.
He was playful and curious and so incredibly loving.
Our home is incredibly empty without him.

We loved him so much and he will be in our hearts forever!'

🧡 🌈 🐾 In loving memory of Paco🧡 🌈 🐾

Paco, Paquito, Mati, Gordito…

You came into my life on August 20, 2017, as a lost little kitten crying beneath a carport. What followed were eight years of friendship, laughter, companionship, and a love greater than I ever thought possible.

You had the brightest green eyes, the tiniest kitten meow, and a personality so big it filled every room you entered. From the moment you arrived, you made it clear the world belonged to you. You stole your sister's food, claimed every bed as your own, conquered every box regardless of size, and somehow convinced everyone that more treats were always justified. You were equal parts troublemaker and gentleman.

You turned faucets into five-star restaurants, could hear a package of ham from impossible distances, and treated every cardboard box as if it had been delivered specifically for you. You loved sunny spots, fresh laundry, sleeping on my chest, curling between my legs at night, and making my laptop completely unusable whenever a nap seemed more important than my work.

You carried yourself through life with joy. Whether you were racing through the apartment, stretched beneath a beam of sunlight, demanding water from a faucet, or greeting me at the door before I even stepped inside, you had a way of making ordinary moments feel special.

You followed me through homes, cities, countries, road trips, and flights. No matter where life took us, home always felt more complete when you were there. You were my companion during quiet nights, my coworker during long days, my source of comfort when life felt overwhelming, and my daily reminder to appreciate life's simplest joys.

On February 14, 2026, I had to say goodbye far sooner than I ever imagined. Since then, your absence has been everywhere: beside me at night, in every box that arrives at the door, and in the routines we built together over the years.

Thank you for every headbutt, every purr, every laugh, every welcome home, and every ordinary day that became unforgettable because you were part of it. I would give anything to hold you again, kiss your little head, bury my face in your neck, or hear that kitten meow one more time. Since I can't, I carry you with me: in my memories, my routines, and in the countless ways you changed my life for the better.

You are loved beyond measure, Paquito. You always will be

With love, your Dad

Our hearts are broken as we said goodbye to our bestest baby boy Louie last week.

You brought so much love and happiness into our lives and everyone you met. Thank you for being so sweet, so silly, and so funny. You will be forever loved. 20 years wasn't long enough. We miss you and love you so much.

🧡 🌈 🐾 In loving memory of Louis🧡 🌈 🐾

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Cavachon, **Louis**, who gained his wings at 14 years old after a remarkably brave battle. At age thirteen, Louis was diagnosed with IVDD, hip dysplasia, and Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). Despite the mounting physical challenges, he faced every single day with an inspiring, fighting spirit. While his body ultimately grew too tired to continue the fight against DM, his beautiful soul never wavered.

Louis was so much more than a pet; he was a core part of our family. He was highly Intelligent, Loyal & Compassionate. He possessed an incredible empathy and a gentle heart that could comfort anyone. At times, he was a Total Drama King. Louis brought an immeasurable amount of joy to us. He will be missed not only by us but his his favorite doggie friends, and their parents in the neighborhood who came to know and love him.

Our home and hearts feel incredibly empty without him, but we are deeply grateful for the 14 wonderful years of unconditional love, laughter, and companionship he gave us.

Rest easy, sweet boy. You fought so hard, and you will be missed dearly, always.
