Today we’re saying “see ya later” to our beloved vet student extraordinaire, Caitlin, as she heads back to Guelph for her third year at the Ontario Veterinary College! 🩺🐾

Caitlin has been such an important part of the EEV team over the past two summers, and we’re so sad to see her go. We’re already counting down until we get her back next summer, with another year of vet school under her belt!

Good luck with your studies, Caitlin! We’ll miss you tons. Please come visit us!! 💛

Meet the newest member of the East End Vets team, Dr. Emma! 🐾💛

Becoming a veterinarian has been a childhood dream for Dr. Emma. Originally from the Ottawa Valley, she completed her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University before graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College and we’re so excited that she’s chosen Toronto (and the Upper Beaches!) to begin her veterinary career.

Dr. Emma has special interests in ultrasound, dermatology and client education and loves helping pet parents feel informed and confident when it comes to their pets’ care.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her reading, horseback riding or trying out a new fitness class. She’s already loved getting to know the pets and people of the Beaches and can’t wait to continue exploring her new community.

We’re so happy to have you, Dr. Emma! 🐶🐱✨

The last long weekend of summer is almost here!

East End Vets will be closed Monday, September 7th, so be sure to stock up ahead of time on any medications, food or other pet essentials you may need.

There’s so much more to working in a veterinary clinic than wellness exams.

It’s knowing how to stay calm when things get hard. It’s having compassion for the pet in front of you and empathy for the person who loves them. It’s patience, quick thinking, teamwork and showing up with care, even on the toughest days.

We’re incredibly proud of the people behind EEV and the heart they bring to this clinic every single day. 💛

Next up in our EEV reintroductions… Samantha! 🐾💛

Sam is one of our wonderful Registered Veterinary Technicians and a familiar face around the clinic. Over the years, she’s gained experience caring for large and exotic animals, but her heart has always belonged to small animal medicine. 🐶🐱

An East York local, Sam loves being back in the community she grew up in, caring for its pets (and their people!). A lifelong animal softy, she treats every patient like family and always makes sure they feel safe, supported and very well loved, extra cuddles included.

We’re so lucky to have Sam as part of the EEV family!

Continuing our East End Vets reintroductions…meet Tyler, Vet Tech and another EEV OG! 🐾

Tyler graduated from Seneca College’s Veterinary Technician Program in 2017 and has worked with several Toronto animal non-profits in both wildlife and shelter settings. He’s also volunteered with local spay/neuter programs, helped manage some of Toronto’s feral cat colonies and fostered many, many cats. 🐈

Through his work, Tyler developed a special interest in caring for cats with complicated medical and behavioural needs.

Outside of EEV, you can find him cooking, gardening, playing music and, of course, catering to the every whim of his cats. 😂

We’re so lucky to have Tyler as part of the EEV team! 💛

Meet Hunter! 🐾

Continuing our team reintroductions with someone who has been part of East End Vets since before our doors even opened. 🤍

As our Office Manager, Hunter wears many hats around the clinic, helping keep our days running smoothly, supporting our clients, and making both pets and their people feel at ease from the moment they walk through the door.

With six years in veterinary medicine, Hunter’s love for animals extends well beyond the clinic. At home, she’s pet parent to Pickle, Lemmy Kilmister, Kirby and of course Beans!!🐶🐱

We’re so lucky to have Hunter as such an important part of the EEV team, truly one of the originals! 🫶
