Do you see a dog just hanging out on a couch without worry?
Look closer.

What do you see?

This pup is a suddenly very fearful 6 month old. He is quietly fearful. A runner. A hider.

His people and I will be working together to find out why this sudden fear has arisen so quickly in an otherwise happy social pup. Developmental fear periods are a thing, but they are usually mild.

Ruling out physical issues is number one.

So we start.

More puppy love...Pang Pang is with us til early October, Shebang has decided that she is worthy of cobbing/nibbles.

She loves this little fluffer.

Shebang is so darn good with puppies...here she is kindly establishing boundaries

Pup adventures today. Distance for comfort.....Went and hung out near a water main crew and chatted with a supervisor.

Then we popped into Kahu to get a break and a cookie or two while watching people there and the goings on on Davenport.

Later we headed home, avoiding the many window contractors that came to my apt as that would have been too much for Pang to deal with in my small space.

Pang Pang is getting much more comfortable with humans but as you can see in the Kahu vid she is still a little suspicious of the human in the background.

This is a long term thing, done with patience and awareness of the puppy's tolerance levels and spatial needs.
