Six years ago, Doggo Hearts began in our Toronto condo with a single dehydrator, making simple, single-ingredient treats for our first dog, Utah. Not long after, Whistler joined our family, and what started as something just for them slowly grew into something much bigger.
As life changed, Doggo Hearts grew with us, from our condo kitchen, to a basement, and eventually to our production facility in Coquitlam, BC.
Along the way, so many of you welcomed Doggo Hearts into your homes and into the lives of your dogs. Watching your pups enjoy our treats, hearing your stories, and seeing photos and reels of happy doggos across the country has meant more to us than we can fully express. This community is truly what made Doggo Hearts special.
As the lease for our Coquitlam, BC facility approaches its expiry this spring, we’ll be taking a pause in our online store starting in April.
Before that pause, we’ll be preparing one final online restock this Thursday, March 19 so that you can have an opportunity to stock up on their dogs’ favourites. Following this restock, the online store will be taking a break from new inventory for the foreseeable future.
We know this may feel sudden. The timing around our lease wasn’t entirely within our control and came together quickly.
We’re calling this a business sabbatical: a chance to step back, reflect, and spend more time with the people and dogs closest to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey. We’re so grateful and hopeful this is just a pause, not the end.
