Hakwai K9

09/30/2026

Most of you know us through our work coaching dogs and their people — but Hakwai K9 is growing into something bigger.

Beyond training, we’re contributing to conversations around responsible pet ownership, canine wellness, pet-friendly living, and the development of thoughtful pet policies across Florida.

With hands-on experience in canine behavior, owner education, care, and policy development, we’re proud to bring a real-world canine perspective to the table — helping shape better standards for dogs, owners, and the communities they live in.

Our goal is simple: more truly pet-friendly spaces, more responsible ownership, and a better lifestyle for dogs and their people.

A good trainer shouldn’t make you dependent on them.

The goal of training isn’t for your dog to only listen when the trainer is holding the leash. It’s to give YOU the tools, confidence, timing, and understanding to handle your dog successfully in everyday life.

That also means being able to comfortably handle and assess your own dog. You should be able to check their mouth, ears, eyes, paws, and body when needed — and your dog should be comfortable allowing you to do so.

These are real-life skills that matter for grooming, vet visits, injuries, health checks, and everyday care.

Because at the end of the day, your dog lives with you — not your trainer.

Our job is to guide you, teach you, and set you up for success so that when we’re not standing beside you, you still know exactly what to do.

We don’t just train dogs. We build capable, confident handlers.
