Let’s talk AI 🤖 do you use it? What for? Why or why not?
Over the past year, AI has become a regular part of my life. I use AI mainly to be more efficient in whatever I’m doing.
The first photo is the final edited photo, the last photo is the original raw image. The photo in between is where AI comes into play. After making all of my edits, I used the generative AI tool in to remove the other people and dogs in the photo. Could I have done this manually using the tools in Photoshop? Yes, but it would’ve taken me SO much longer.
Similarly, I often ask to help me speed up certain tasks. We’re currently shopping for our first car. Instead of going to dozens of websites to find prices and vehicle specs, I asked ChatGPT for compact SUVs within a certain price range and asked it to list the MSRP, fuel efficiency, and which ones come in a hybrid option so I could easily copy and paste the info into a spreadsheet for me and Liam to look at.
AI is still a new technology and can make mistakes. I would never send an email that AI wrote for me without making my own edits to it, but having a first draft to work off of saves me several minutes of struggling to write it on my own.
For me, AI has been a tool that automates monotonous tasks and frees me up to focus on the things that are more fun and valuable. Now the real question is - how much of this caption did AI help me write? 🤭
