✨Let’s talk hay bags! 🐰
Hay bags are an immensely helpful tool for any small pet owner. As we all know, a bunny’s diet is super important to ensure they remain happy and healthy, and hay is the key to success! You should be providing your bunny with unlimited fresh and quality hay (we love a mixture of timothy and orchard!) Hay should make up 80% or more of your bunny’s daily diet.
An improper diet may lead to health problems such as GI tract issues and stasis, overgrown teeth, and more. We all know how sensitive our buns can be, so making sure we are doing our best is crucial.
Hay bags make this easy. We all know bunnies love to nibble and do their business at the same time, but adding handfuls of hay into the litter box can easily becomes soiled in hours. Hay bags help keep the hay off the ground, but still allow your buns to chomp endlessly while they do #2. They also provide an additional source of enrichment, which is always great.
