🧠💚 World Mental Health Day

There is no shame in needing a break.
There is no weakness in asking for support. And there is no requirement to be okay every day. ✨

We’re proud to foster a workplace where we respect and support one another’s mental and emotional wellbeing. We know that not every difficult day comes with physical symptoms, and sometimes, you simply may not feel like yourself.

On those days, we come together as a team. Whether that means encouraging someone to take the day for themselves, making sure they have the space they need to rest and recharge, or simply checking in throughout the day, we believe that supporting one another matters.

Veterinary medicine can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be emotionally demanding. We experience moments of joy, stress, grief, compassion, and everything in between. Creating a workplace where our team feels comfortable acknowledging when they’re struggling is an important part of taking care of one another.

Today, and every day, we encourage our team and our community to check in with themselves and with the people around them.

Mental health is health. 💚

🐾 National Pet Wellness Month 🐾

Wellness looks a little different for every pet. 🐶🐱

What keeps one pet happy and healthy may look different for another, but the little things we do every day can make a big difference over time.

From balanced nutrition and regular exercise to routine veterinary visits, preventative care, dental health, parasite prevention, and simply paying attention to changes in their behaviour, every part of your pet’s wellbeing matters. 💛

When it comes to their health, prevention, awareness, and a little extra care can go a long way. 💙

Often the first voice you hear and the first smile you see, our veterinary receptionists are such an important part of every visit 💛

Today, we’re celebrating the kindness, patience, and care they bring to our clients, patients, and team every day 💙

Our veterinary receptionists are at the heart of so much that keeps our practice running every day ✨ 🥰

From supporting our clients and patients to keeping everything moving behind the scenes, we’re so grateful for all that they do🫶🏼

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day 🧡

Today is an opportunity to pause, listen, learn, and reflect on the history and lasting impacts of the residential school system, while honouring the strength and resilience of Survivors, their families, and Indigenous communities.

Across the country, people are coming together to remember the thousands of children who were taken from their families and communities, and those who never returned home. We also recognize the generations of families and communities who continue to carry the effects of these experiences.

Orange Shirt Day began with the story of Phyllis Webstad, who shared how her new orange shirt was taken from her on her first day at residential school. Her story has become a powerful reminder that Every Child Matters — and that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, loved, and connected to their family, culture, and community.

Today, we encourage our team and community to take time to learn from Indigenous voices, reflect on the history of residential schools, and consider the role each of us can play in supporting reconciliation.

🧡 We remember.
🧡 We listen.
🧡 We learn.
🧡 We honour Survivors.
🧡 We recognize that reconciliation is an ongoing journey.

Every Child Matters. 🧡
