A Huge Thank You to Pet Valu Timmins Square! Before anything else, we’d like to say a sincere thank you to the amazing team at Pet Valu Timmins Square for becoming the first business to support The Northern Collar Club Pet Pantry with a generous donation of pet food. Thank you for believing in this idea.

Now we’d love to tell you a little more about what the Pet Pantry is all about. ❤️ The Pet Pantry exists for one simple reason: to help keep pets in loving homes.

Life doesn’t always go according to plan. A layoff…. An unexpected bill… A medical emergency….Sometimes all it takes is one difficult month to put someone in a position they never expected to be in.

We believe a temporary hardship shouldn’t mean a family has to worry about feeding the pet that’s been there through it all.

That’s where the Pet Pantry comes in. This isn’t a long term food program. It’s designed to be a helping hand when people need it most, a bridge to help families get back on their feet while keeping their pets happy, healthy, and at home.

As we’re just getting started, our supply is limited, but we’ll do our very best to help as many families as we can with the donations we receive.

How can you help?

If you have unexpired dog or cat food, treats, we’d love to accept your donation. We are also looking for cat litter, and pet supplies! Every single item stays right here in OUR community and goes directly to local families and their pets.

Can’t get your donation to us?

No problem! we’re happy to arrange a pickup anywhere in Timmins. You can put in a ticket on our website.

❤️ Need a little help?

If you’re struggling and need temporary assistance feeding your pet, please don’t be afraid to reach out. There is no judgment! We know life happens, and everyone needs a helping hand sometimes.

You can apply through www.thenortherncollarclub.com. Whenever possible, we’ll arrange a discreet free drop off within Timmins.

This Pet Pantry isn’t about one person or one organization. It’s about what happens when an entire community decides to look after one another.

A donated bag of food might seem small. But to someone going through a difficult time, it can mean everything.

It can mean one less worry. One more month together. One more family that gets to keep their best friend.

Thank you again to Pet Valu Timmins Square for helping us get this project off the ground, and thank you to everyone who chooses to be part of it.

Together, we can build a community where no one has to face the heartbreak of losing a pet simply because they needed a little help getting through a difficult season. ❤️🐾

Knowing how much Mom loves animals, it's no surprise that Teenie has already found a new best friend. ❤️ She sent us this adorable photo with the caption, "Teenie has a new BFF." 🥰
