Enrichment is more than just keeping your dog busy—it’s about engaging their natural instincts. 🐾 Snuffle balls encourage dogs to use their incredible sense of smell to search for hidden treats, providing mental stimulation that can help reduce boredom, relieve stress, and build confidence. Just 10–15 minutes of sniffing can be as satisfying as a much longer walk for many dogs. A happy nose makes for a happy dog! 💚

🐾 Watch the nose go to work! 🐾

A snuffle ball is so much more than a toy—it’s an enrichment activity that encourages your dog’s natural instinct to sniff, search, and forage.

Just a few minutes of sniffing can help:
🐶 Provide mental stimulation
🧠 Reduce boredom
💚 Encourage calm, focused behaviour
👃 Build confidence through natural problem-solving
⚡ Help burn energy without high-impact exercise

Whether you have a playful puppy, a busy adult dog, or a senior who enjoys a slower pace, a snuffle ball is a fun and rewarding way to make mealtime or treat time extra special.

Does your dog love to sniff? We’d love to see them in action! Share a photo or video in the comments. 🐾

Don’t miss today’s festival!!

🐾 Pawsitively Elgin Update 🐾

We're looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Pawsitively Elgin Dog Festival tomorrow!

As mentioned in our previous update, the festival is proceeding as planned. We continue to monitor the wildfire smoke and air quality and will follow any direction from the City of St. Thomas. If we are required to cancel, we will post an update immediately. Otherwise, we'll see you tomorrow!

We also recognize that tomorrow's air quality may not be suitable for every dog. Puppies, senior dogs, brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds, and dogs with heart or respiratory conditions can be more affected by wildfire smoke. We completely support and respect every owner's decision if leaving their pup at home is the best choice.

If you do bring your dog, we'll have plenty of fresh water available throughout the park, along with cool-down stations to help keep them comfortable. We also encourage everyone to take breaks in the shade and pay attention to how their dog is feeling.

And remember, you don't have to bring your dog to enjoy the festival! We'd still love to see you. Come shop our amazing vendors, enjoy the demonstrations, grab something to eat, support the rescues, and pick up some treats and goodies to take home to your furry friend.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow! 💜🐾

With the temperatures dangerously high for our pups some of you may be struggling to wear your babies out. Have you considered a snuffle ball? 10 minutes of snuffle activity is like walking your dog for half an hour. It stimulates your dogs brain and senses, as well as their natural foraging abilities. Earthhound offers 3 different sizes of snuffle balls to suit the size of your dog and we even have smalls that are suitable for cats, bunnies and ferrets. Contact us today to have one crafted for you.
