As of this moment groomers are allowed to work. I check the e-laws website frequently.
I have not canceled any upcoming appts.
That being said, that can always change at the drop of a hat.

HERE IS THE LATEST NEWS.

What this basically means is that I can only groom for emergency purposes. Matted coats, skin infection, excessive nails growth affecting walking etc. I need to be able to take pics to prove the groom is necessary unless you have an order from Animal welfare or vets. I need to justify the groom in case of bylaw inquiries.

Below are examples of severely matted dogs requiring emergency grooms.

This just happened. As of 20th pets will be allowed to be groomed under emergency conditions only.

I'm researching more on who, other than Animal control orders, determines this. If a note from a vet stating your pet meets emergency criteria is necessary etc.

It's progress I suppose. When I get more details I'll post. Thank you all for your patience.

There is still no clear answers.
Groomers open currently are opening illegally and potentially face fines from the provincial government. While some municipalities have said they may not enforce the bylaws, the provincial ordinance officers still may.
I have made list based on previous appts that were cancelled and in order of requests.
I'll keep everyone posted as best I can.

As of yesterday

Ontario cities are asking the province to clarify rules around pet grooming services, saying current pandemic restrictions aren't clear on whether those businesses can operate.

Hi guys!
I'm getting questions about when I'm open. I'm not sure.
There has been some talk of Toronto being allowed however there is no confirmation yet. Also there are issues with insurance not covering the business if working during an official lockdown.
I'll keep you posted.

Ontario has announced it is extending nearly all emergency orders under the Reopening Ontario Act for an additional 30 days.

It looks like yesterday they changed the regulations and groomers are currently not able to work as of Dec. 26th.

Despite the Lockdown in York Region, it looks like I'm still able to operate.

I'm in an environment that has susceptible people so regardless of your personal beliefs please wear a mask when dropping off your pups.
Drop off by leaving your pet in the alcove, ring the bell, close the door and wait for me to retrieve them.

I'm doing everything I can to keep you and your family safe as well.
