As temperatures start to drop, you may be wondering how long your dog should spend outdoors. The answer depends on factors like their size, coat type, and age. Keep an eye out for signs they're getting too cold, such as slowing down, shivering, or lifting their paws. When you notice these cues, it's time to head inside and warm up.

Check out our Cold Weather Lookbook for more expert tips on keeping your pet safe and comfortable this season. 🐾❄️

Meet Trixie – Our Incredible Tripod Kitten! ❤️

At just 5 months old, sweet Trixie has already overcome more than most animals ever should. After losing one of her legs and enduring several additional surgeries due to complications, this brave little girl has shown nothing but resilience, courage, and a love for life.

Despite her difficult beginning, Trixie hasn’t let anything dim her spirit. She is ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life with a family who will love her unconditionally, be patient as she settles in, and spoil her the way she deserves.

Trixie may only have three legs, but she has an endless amount of love to give. All she’s missing is a forever home to call her own.

If you’d like to meet this remarkable little survivor, please stop by the adoption centre at Pet Valu, 13596 Tecumseh Rd. E. You just might meet your new best friend.

Please share Trixie’s story to help her find the loving family she’s been waiting for.

Edit: Great news! Merlin has been adopted and is settling in well!😍

Merlin has now been waiting for his furever home for 90 days!

He is approximately 1 year old, neutered and up to date on all vaccines. He is also a unique polydactyl kitty, meaning extra toes that make him ever more adorable. 🩵
Merlin is FIV Positive, but he can still live a long, happy, healthy life with proper care and lots of love. It would be best if he found a home with other FIV Positive cats or by himself. Hes ready to find someone who will see just how special he truly is.
Come meet Merlin at Pet Valu
And give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves 🐱
