Hello Unleashed Family! Though the Unleashed shop is no more you are still family to us, have been and always will be. ☺️

I would like to clear up some confusion I’ve been hearing about as of late. As some of you may know the Unleashed building has been occupied by a new grooming salon. We would like to clarify that it is in no way, shape or form affiliated with Unleashed Pet Grooming. It is not “under new ownership” and has not been bought out by anyone, as our clients are far too precious to us to be for sale. The grooming facility in there now is an entirely different company.

If you are interested in the love and care you received at Unleashed, Shayla is now at Furfetti Pet Styling here in town taking on as many clients as possible. The entire Furfetti team is outstanding and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful place to take care of your fur babies! As the transition has gone extremely well, it is much less overwhelming and I am happy to try and fit people in as I can or add you to my cancellation list. Hello Unleashed Family!

We hope each and every one of you had a wonderful long weekend. We just wanted to reach out and say thank you to everyone who came by on the 31st! It was so great to be able to see you and your furry friends🥰

We had such an amazing last day. From the extra snuggles we got with our furry friends, the hugs that just felt a little tighter and held on a little longer cause no one wanted to let go; the laughs and the giggles from stories shared. It was everything and anything we could’ve asked for.

As Shayla continues her transition to Furfetti Pet Styling, we ask for your patience and understanding through this time. She would love to be able to take each and every single person from our client list but one person can only do so much. Once she is settled in, she will reach out to see what can be done for you and your furry friend!

As you all know, our number one priority has always been your pets and will continue to be your pets. With that being said, if your pet is in need of a haircut we ask that you look at finding another groomer in the meantime if Shayla hasn’t spoken to you yet. The summer is not over and the hot days are still to come. Most pets need to be groomed every 4-8 weeks, and we know things at the shop have been chaotic these last 8 weeks. If your pet hasn’t been groomed with us on their regular schedule; please find another groomer in the meantime to still provide them with the care that they need. But just remember this may not need to be a permanent solution. By finding another groomer in the meantime it means that your pet will still be able to receive the coat care that they need to prevent any matting and summer shave downs; your shedders can give the vacuum a break and we can find comfort in knowing our furry friends will still be taken care of no matter who you choose to go with. If you have found another groomer and would like your pets grooming notes; please private message us over our Facebook or email us at [email protected] and we will be happy to provide it for you! Our page and phone number (403) 588 7297 will still be active for the foreseeable future so please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns; we will always be here to help!

Thank you again to each and every person who has ever stepped foot through the doors of Unleashed Pet Grooming. Thank you for years of many amazing memories. Thank you for standing by our sides while we worked through the growing pains of owning a business. Thank you for trusting us to take care of your fur babies. Thank you for coming back after the not so good haircuts. Thank you for stopping by just to say hi on a random Tuesday before we leave the shop for the day. Thank you for stopping to chat in the grocery store when we run into you. Thank you for recommending us to your friends and families. Thank you for seeing us through to the very bitter end. Without you, there would be no us.

We love you all so very much, you have impacted our lives beyond belief and there are truly no words to describe how grateful we are to have had this experience in such a wonderful community. But Unleashed Family, just remember. This isn’t a goodbye, just a see you later❤️

Hello Unleashed Family!!

As you all know, tomorrow is sadly our last day open😢 BUT that doesn’t mean it needs to be a sad day. The sun will be shining, we will have Timmies coffee and donuts from the COOP bakery for each and every one of you who stop by!

Both Maddie and Shayla will be at the shop from 10am-3pm tomorrow July 31st doing walk in nail trims, sharing stories and giving you the service you have known and grown to love at Unleashed. You will not need an appointment; so please swing by! Even if it’s just for a visit we don’t mind, we would love to see you and your pets!

As well we still have our lovely collars from ✨Stitch Craft✨ on sale for $15 cash (no sales tax 🤭) Sizes and styles are limited so make sure to get to the shop early to guarantee your furry friend leaves with a new collar! We will also have things for sale from the shop in the front room so by all means stop by for snoop 👀

We had such an amazing time at Mastergroom Canada over the 24th-26th of July! This was our very first grooming convention and competition that we have attended and couldn’t be more pleased about the experience!

To start things off, Shayla won a brand new clipper on the first night from Wahl Clippers🤩 We had the opportunity to see some our biggest influences throughout our grooming careers and get to sit in on their seminars as well! We attended nearly all 9 seminars that were being hosted over the weekend 😱 Getting to sit in on Nathan and Kathlena Austin’s seminars on “The Business Side of Grooming: Finding your path, Your people and Your power” as well as learning some new skills on “Handstripping and Carding: Mastering Coat integrity the right way.” We got to ask questions and discuss animal health in “The Vets insight for Groomers” with Dr. Maryam from Calgary; discussing topics that groomers see on a daily basis. From coat and skin health, allergies, ear conditions; to looking into more detail about why a pet may be acting a particular way due to a health concern. We also had the opportunity to see Marcia Strong in her “Groomers Survival Guide” seminar and learned some very important aspects and techniques on how to navigate not only a physically demanding job but to navigate and help yourself on your hardest days as a groomer.

Along with all of the education that was received, we shopped till we dropped🤭 New scissors, new combs, new products, oh my! We are locked and loaded with new equipment and techniques to serve each and every furry friend the best we can! We got to see state of the art equipment from around Canada and support our local grooming businesses as well!

And to cap off such a wonderful weekend, we had the opportunity to watch our fellow groomers within Sylvan Lake compete along side groomers from not only all over Canada but international competitors as well! Jackie and her personal dog Wicca had competed; and Jackie hosted her very own Cat Grooming Competition🤩 Along with Jackie, we were able to watch Mallory from Furfetti compete in the Poodle Class as well! It was such an amazing experience and show from each and every competitor and we are proud of each and every single person going out there to give it their all!

Hey Unleashed Family! Make sure to check it out😱

As many of you know our last operating day will be July 31st😕 With that being said, we don’t want it to be a day that goes by without any notice. Unleashed Pet Grooming has been our passion and pride for the last 4 years and we want to take this opportunity as a day to connect, share stories, hugs and maybe even tears (there will definitely be tears who are we kidding) and have an opportunity to not say goodbye but we will see you later❤️

We will be open 10am-3pm on July 31st doing ✨Walk In Nail Trims✨ and getting to see each and every one of your faces along with our furry besties! We will have CO-OP bakery donuts and Tim Horton’s coffee in the lobby, things for sale, and extra treats on deck🤩

There will be no appointments needed on July 31st, it is business as usual! You walk in whenever. First come, first served!

Until the 31st we ask that you still call or text us at (403) 588 7297 to schedule your nail trim.
