Well our group sessions have started and I couldn’t be happier with my scholar dogs! 🐾

No reactivity, no pulling to meet and greet other dogs — just focused teams learning and working together.

Awesome obedience with our Rally signs, plus lots of agility equipment to make these sessions fun, exciting, and rewarding for the dogs and their people!

Building confidence, teamwork, and a strong relationship one session at a time. 🐕✨

Busy week and I’m super happy with all our dogs and their amazing people! 🐾

Gordon, the king of Nose Work, has been working hard and knows exactly what his job is! Watching him love his work is awesome.

Ace the Rottweiler has finished his 6-week foundation training with his little people. ❤️ I absolutely love working with families, and this crew put in the effort and did an amazing job!

Sandy the Labrador Retriever, after just two lessons, is already enjoying her walks and showing off an incredible food drive!

Last but not least, Ollie — an 8-month-old Golden Retriever with lots of energy — is learning that sometimes the job is just to chill. 😊

Another awesome week of learning, teamwork, and building better partnerships between dogs and their people! 🐕

Well this little girl is going to be a tracking dog 🩷

Tina is now working her second dog with me for IGP.
Della is 11 months old and after going through a pretty invasive surgery, she is finally feeling well again and ready to work.

She has only been back at it for about 2 weeks now. During puppyhood we introduced scent pads last year.

This was Tina’s very first 15 pace track with Della, and I’m really impressed with how the two of them are coming along together.

I’m very impressed with Tina’s dedication and the time she puts into working on her tracking skills every single day.
You put the time in and you can see the progress every week.

At Dog Scents Training we love seeing partnerships grow, and Reggie and Jennifer are a perfect example of that.

Meet Reggie and Jennifer 🐾

Reggie is a rescue dog who had a rough start in life. He missed out on experiencing the world during those crucial puppy and young dog stages. But he isn’t just a rescue dog anymore — he has a home, a life, and his very own person who is dedicated to helping him succeed.

Reggie is learning how to feel comfortable and confident when going out into the world. He’s discovering that when he’s asked to do a task for his own safety, he can trust the guidance and respond with confidence.

I’m incredibly proud of how quickly Jen took the information I gave her and went home and did her homework. Week after week, they came back with surprisingly excellent results and steady progress.

This is exactly why I love what I do — seeing dogs and their people build relationships and confidence beyond what they ever thought possible.

Reggie and Jennifer have created an amazing partnership, and this is only the beginning for them. ❤️

Meet my man Oliver…

I first met Oliver a few years ago when he came to me for a board and train. From day one, this guy has always had his own ideas about what choices he should be allowed to make…lol

Oliver definitely needs a job to keep his brain busy…and nose work is absolutely his jam! Otherwise he might decide a life of crime sounds more exciting 😉

He’s been doing scent work for about a year now and absolutely loves it. He knows his job, works with confidence, and has so much fun doing it.

Best of all…he’s beyond happy to be back outside working in the fresh air again.

This is some awesome work from a very new handler, Tina, and her first GSD, Della!

We have been working on articles, which we teach off the track first.
Yes, Della touches the article a bit, but what impressed me the most is that Tina took the advice and went right to work making the article VERY important and rewarding for Della.

Tina is also putting in the work on her tracking separately, and it’s really starting to show.

I’m beyond honored to be welcoming a new training partner into my world — one of these little big men! 🖤

From two incredibly talented parents, Accio Fawkes Von Den Bergkonigen and Tanning Zokko, this pup represents an exciting new opportunity and journey for me.

A very heartfelt thank you to Accio Malinois and Isabel Lomoth for this tremendous opportunity to have one of these pups from such an amazing pairing. I’m truly grateful for the trust and support.

A special thank you as well to James Siler for introducing me to Isabel and helping make this opportunity possible.

I’m so excited for the future and looking forward to stepping back onto the competition field in the next few years with this special boy by my side.
