We had a visitor come play last week for the day 🐾
Included in her visit was
- a long hike in the woods
- human playtime
- a little bit of basic training including recall
- a lunch time snack given in an enrichment toy
-lots of sniffing/playtime

Our daycare program is perfect for dogs who may not always be the most comfortable with other doggy friends or have a little more anxiety than most. We are devoted to lots of 1:1 time and making our dog friends experience as fun as possible.

Boundary/placework is the foundation to a lot of things but for me it is how I live stress free with so many dogs of so many different ages.
It allows everyone to co-exist, teaches them patience and even allows me to have guest over stress free.

Don’t overthink it, here I pair placework with cleaning out my garage and house. Both things need to get done so why not do them simultaneously.

This is one of the many skills I am able to work on and start the foundation of during a “day to play” at my house.

Decompresive walks are so incredibly important.
They allow dogs time to be just that dogs.
It gets them away from the hustle and bustle where we have all these expectations of them and allows them to sniff and smell.
It’s comparable to us doom scrolling TikTok or binge watching Netflix it’s a requirement to a balanced healthy life.
If your dog isn’t able to be off leash safely please use a longline to allow your dog time to explore the world.

With just recently moving into doggy paradise and having a secure fence installed I decided to open back up for a handful of services.
These services include:
- overnight dog boarding (crated OR uncrated overnight depending on dog and owners comfortability. This service includes an enrichment everyday at lunchtime as well as daily walks in nature)
- Stay the day visits (includes a walk in the woods and a enrichment for lunch)
- Puppy Play (puppy’s are a lot of work, drop them off with me for the day and we will create a customized itinerary - possibilities include basic leash manners, confidence building, basic socialization, basic recall/obedience and/or potty training)

Everything is individually tailored to each individual dog. Social dogs get to play and romp with my helper dogs while less social more shy dogs get 1:1 attention and get to explore the great outdoors.

Picture below include my yard, the trails accessed behind my house and some of the enrichments available during your dogs stay.

Introducing Gus, he is a very goofy boy with the opposite of a goofy history he needs a very loving but understanding owner who can manage a big dog like this boy so history doesn't repeat itself. He is not available just yet and is settling in very well at our house. His favourite pass time is picking up toys individually and showing me his toys while his tail goes 100 miles an hour. Can you tell I've fallen in love already lol ❤️

But your pup instead wants to go on a long tiring excursion outside to burn off the pent up energy from sleeping all day while your at work. This is where I come in, I come to your home at a prescheduled time during the day while your at work and walk your dog or dogs for you. That way when you come home they are nice and tired. With the warm weather coming you might be thinking of heading on vacation or taking a weekend getaway if this is the case the last thing you should have to stress about is what you will be doing with your pets. Here at Pete’s we offer stress free options including me staying at your home overnight with your beloved pets or I even offer drop in options which means I would let your dog out to use the washroom allow them time to stretch their legs and get out of the house and give them food and water. I also offer dog walking services in group walks or private walks whatever you require I am here to make everything a little easier.
