Confidence is a funny thing. Some days it comes easy, and other days it feels like it disappears completely. No matter how much experience we have, life has a way of humbling us. There are moments that lift us up and remind us why we do what we do, and there are moments that knock the wind out of us and leave us wondering how to find our footing again.

This summer has been filled with both. Between showing and training, there have been incredible highs that made all the hard work worth it, and there have been some very humbling lessons along the way. The horse industry has a way of keeping us grounded. Just when you think you've figured something out, a horse will remind you that learning never stops.

What I've come to realize is that confidence isn't about never getting knocked down. It's about finding the courage to keep showing up when things don't go your way. It's trusting the process, leaning on the lessons, and believing that every setback is helping build something stronger.

It's been a busy summer, and now the grind continues into the fall and winter. There will be more challenges, more victories, and more opportunities to grow. Through it all, I'll keep putting one foot in front of the other, grateful for the journey, the horses, and the people who make it all worthwhile.

Because confidence isn't built during the easy moments—it's built in the ones that test us.
