Puppies learn how to use their mouths to inhibit how hard they bite. Giving them legal places to put their mouths makes them happy and helps reduce mouthing us! Go Frankie & Bree!!

Happy dogs are never robotic! They are soft, wiggly pups, who radiate joy! Sometimes they accidentally forget their manners & jump up to say hello! All dogs are hard-wired to greet at eye level. It’s not a sign of something wrong. Meet Cohen, a lovely Nova Scotia Duck Toller!

Puppies are primed for learning! Benji is not at all deterred by bigger puppies or novelty. We want to keep that confidence & sociability that puppies are born with, right into adulthood. Go Benji, go!!

What is better than being loved my a puppy? Having that joy carry on into adulthood! We have lots of time to teach manners - (even a senior dog can learn). But puppyhood is fleeting and building joy, confidence and friendliness is so important!

It’s money in the bank to teach puppies that hands & grooming predict good things! Wee Papillon, Piper decides if she wants to continue to play our grooming games by holding her position. If she walked away, we take a break. Choice builds confidence & there is no need then to pin her down to clean her ears. Well done, Piper! With more practice, a full ear clean will be easy!
