MCCA is having our Spring dog show at Heritage Park this weekend and we are very dedicated to making sure that our exhibitors are respectful of the facility.
Please do your part to keep the venue clean an ensure dogs are not soiling the front of the building.

Watermark Kennels is expecting! Shim/ Sailor pups due this coming Labour day weekend! Smaller litter but will be an easier job compared to the 10 Jenny had! It was fun but a lot of work!

I realized I never posted on my Watermark page past about 2 weeks of age on the Atmospheric River litter. As they matured more and more of my time was taken up with the care and socializing of this litter. So here are some group pics and some of my favorites that I took over their time with us. They are in reverse order of age.

All the pups have headed off to their new homes living with their new families and making their way in the world. Hopefully I will be able to post some updates as these pups mature and live their lives with their wonderful new families. Thank you all that have enjoyed following this litter and we look forward to our next Watermark litter.

Well we made it thru the first night with a few hiccups along the way but everyone is fine and they are starting to feed in shifts rather than all trying to latch at the same time. Jenny did well figuring things out but she still is hesitant about even trying to get up so had to keep hydrating her thru the night and her calcium intake had to be increased as well as her feedings. I caught these few rare pics of all 10 pups together. And this adorable little purple boy snuggling this morning. Today we decide on a theme and give them all names!

So Jenny I think is finally finished. She whelped 11 puppies but one was stillborn. We thought she was done when there was 9 and she had nodded off to sleep. I began the post whelping cleanup after I got her a light breakfast. Threw the towels in the wash and came around the corner to the whelping room to find a puppy dangling from your know where. I thought for sure it was not alive but the instant I started rubbing him he answered back with attitude!! So we went from 10 on X-ray to 9 due to the stillborn and 2 hrs post last puppy we went back to 10. Final count, I hope is 8 boys and 2 girls. Also have to recheck the s*x of each pup as I may have got something wrong. The first pic is when we thought we were done at 9. The second pic is all 10 but you can never see nor count them because there are always some up front or hiding in her pants and there is not enough room in the middle!

Litter theme to come. Can barely think straight. Will post more pics after I get a shower and some sleep.

Palmer (Watermark’s King Palmer) also had a great weekend at the Pacific Kennel Club Show. Fri he was Best of Winners and Best of Breed to finish his Championship! He then went on to pick up 4 points towards his Grand Championship on Sat and Sun! Love this dog!

Thank you Shelly and Tim for all your help and giving Palmer such a great home! Show pic to come!

Jasper (Watermark’s Jasper Jericho) and co-owner Neil Mort had a great weekend showing at the Pacific Kennel Club show! He was Best Puppy on Fri and Sat and Best of Winners on Sat to pick up 2 more points towards his Championship. Sitting at 9 points thru 4 shows this year. 1 as a Jr puppy and 3 as a senior puppy. Neil and Jasper make a great team and I am thrilled with how well they are doing!
