A lot of people start preparing like they’re sending their pet off to college, but honestly, the things that matter most are usually the simple familiar ones. Blankets that smell like home, favourite beds, towels, toys, wands we can use for interaction, and yes — sometimes the weird bath mat your cat has emotionally attached themselves to for no explainable reason.
Those familiar smells make a huge difference when cats are adjusting to a new environment. They help bridge the gap between home life and daily life here.
Food is usually the other big stress point, especially for very long stays. While you’re welcome to pack for the full booking, we usually recommend starting with about 2–3 months worth and letting us help with the rest as needed.
If your cat runs low on food, we’ll pick up more of the same brand and add it to your invoice. We don’t charge additional pickup fees, and because our long-term stays are structured in 30-day payment periods, food costs can naturally be handled as you go.
We also offer discounted rates for longer bookings:
• 21+ nights booked → 10% off
• 30+ nights booked → 15% off
• 60+ nights booked → 20% off
Discounts are based on the original booking length and apply to room fees and additional cats sharing the room.
At the end of the day, we never want packing for a long stay to feel overwhelming. Our goal is to make extended care feel manageable, comfortable, and as close to a normal routine as possible for both cats and owners.
And for the things you don’t need to worry about — treats and cat nip are already covered here. Spoiling them is part of the job.
