Sammi 💕

We have the pleasure of working side by side with to provide Sammi medical care, and we love seeing her!

Sammi has Cushing’s disease, this condition results in an over production of cortisol by the adrenal glands and can be life-threatening. The most common signs of Cushing’s is increased appetite, and increased thirst and urination; lethargy, panting, and poor hair coat are also commonly seen. Treatment requires daily medication to reduce excess cortisol production and ongoing bloodwork for monitoring.

Pets like Sammi can struggle to be rehomed given the commitment that is required to care for a senior pet with a chronic illness. Thanks to , Sammi is happily living with her permanent foster mom and getting all the love and care she needs!
