🍂 FALL & WINTER CAN BE A GREAT TIME TO BUY
Horse prices can often soften during the fall and winter months, making this a great time to start looking.
And here’s something we truly believe:
There is no “perfect age” to own a horse — but 5 can be a wonderful age to start!
As children grow, their riding skills, confidence, size and goals change. That’s why we encourage families to focus on finding the right horse for your child TODAY, rather than trying to buy the horse they might need five years from now.
Think of it like a bicycle. 🚲
You wouldn’t put a small child on a 10-speed racing bike and expect them to learn comfortably. You start with the right size and skill level — and as they grow, you move up.
Horses can be the same way.
Trading, leasing and moving up through different horses is a completely normal part of a rider’s journey.
💰 WHAT IF YOU CAN'T RIDE EVERY DAY?
That’s where we can get creative!
We may be able to find another suitable rider to half-lease your horse, helping offset some of the monthly costs.
We can also discuss the possibility of your horse participating in a couple of lessons each week on days your child can't make it to the barn.
That means your horse stays fit, continues learning and contributing to the program — while helping keep your horse active and your bank account a little healthier! 😉
❤️ AND THEN SOMETHING MAGICAL HAPPENS…
Unlike a bicycle — or even a dog or cat — horses have a remarkable way of becoming part of the family.
Your first horse may teach your child to ride.
Then teach them confidence.
Then patience, responsibility, resilience and leadership.
And eventually, when your child is ready to move up to their next horse, that special horse may go on to teach another young rider everything they once taught your child.
It becomes a beautiful cycle.
