A little play, a lot of laughs, and a well-deserved dinner! šŸ“āœØ

Our King George Vet team traded the clinic for some summer fun with pickleball at IPOP followed by dinner at Skye Avenue. Nothing like a little friendly competition, good food, and time together outside of work.

🐾 Pets are family.

They're there for the everyday moments, the big milestones, the quiet cuddles and everything in between.

At King George Veterinary Hospital, we understand that caring for a pet means caring for a very important member of your family. It's a privilege to be part of their story — from their first visits through all the chapters that follow.

Because they're never just a pet.

šŸ‘‡ Tell us about your family member! What's your pet's name, and how long have they been part of your family?

A lot has changed since 1992. 🐾

But one thing hasn't — families want to know their pets are in caring, capable hands.

King George Veterinary Hospital has been part of the Surrey community since 1992, caring for generations of pets and the people who love them.

Over the years, we've welcomed dogs and cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, birds, reptiles and many other companions through our doors — each with their own personality and their own needs.

More than 30 years later, we're proud to continue that story. šŸ’™

Experience built over decades. Care for every chapter.

🐾 How long have you been part of the KGVH family? We'd love to hear from our longtime clients!

Here’s a caption that stays educational but approachable and consistent with your series:

Did you know? Pets can hide dental discomfort.

Our pets can't tell us when something doesn't feel right—and sometimes the signs can be easy to miss.

Changes in eating, chewing differently, dropping food, or suddenly avoiding certain foods may be worth paying attention to. šŸ‘€
Getting familiar with what's normal for your pet can make it easier to notice when something changes.

When was the last time you took a peek at your pet's teeth?

If you notice changes in your pet's eating or chewing habits, our veterinary team is here to help.

Did you know? Dogs can hear sounds we can’t!

Ever wonder why your dog suddenly perks up while the rest of the family hears… absolutely nothing?

Dogs can detect higher-frequency sounds than humans, making their sense of hearing pretty impressive.

Maybe that’s also how they know the treat bag is opening from three rooms away.

What sound does your dog recognize instantly? The doorbell? Car keys? Their leash? Or, of course… the treat bag?

Did you know? Pets can recognize routines!

Meal time, walk time, school pickup… our pets can become surprisingly tuned in to the rhythm of family life.

With back-to-school season around the corner, your pet might be one of the first to notice that the household routine is starting to change.

šŸ’¬ What routine does your pet know TOO well? Dinner time? The sound of the treat bag? When someone is about to come home?

Tell us in the comments!

Follow along for more of our ā€œDid You Know? Pets Canā€¦ā€ series.

Here’s one that keeps the series consistent while making this post a little more practical:

Did you know? Your pet’s paws can tell a story!
Those little paws go through a lot—from neighbourhood walks and park adventures to everyday play. A quick paw check can help you spot irritation, damaged nails, or something caught between the toes.

Make it a simple habit after outdoor adventures: check, clean, cuddle.

šŸ’¬ Quick paw poll: Does your pet happily let you check their paws… or do they make it a whole negotiation?

Follow along for more of our ā€œDid You Know? Pets Canā€¦ā€ series!
