We have one cat left on our adoption page- let’s find Spidee a home!

Spidee is very chill, and loves to sleep anywhere warm; on a person or on the window sill are her favourite places. Spidee is still young and playful and loves to chase things. She is very affectionate and will give kisses. She will also politely let you know when she wants to snuggle by patting you on your arm or leg.

We also found out that she loves to shred paper! Sometimes she will slide the scraps of paper under a bedroom door. We call them ‘love notes from Spidee’ ❤️

Spidee wants to be your one and only, and would do best in a home with no other pets.

🌈🐾 A Very Special Tribute 🐾🌈

Today, we wanted to share something meaningful with our Keeping Cats Homed community.

Many of you may have heard of the passing of Dr. Frank Deziel — a truly kind, compassionate man and a wonderful supporter of KCH. Frank cared deeply about animals, and his kindness left an impression on so many people who had the privilege of knowing him. ❤️

One of the wishes shared in his obituary was that people honour his memory by naming a cat “Frank.”

Today, a tiny neonatal kitten only a few days old was brought into our care, and it felt like the perfect way to honour such a gentle soul. So we would like everyone to meet little Baby Frank. 🐱💕

This tiny kitten has a long journey ahead of him, but he is already very loved.

We hope, in some small way, this little life helps carry forward the kindness and compassion Dr. Frank showed to both people and animals throughout his life.

Sending love and gentle thoughts to all of Frank’s family and loved ones as they navigate such a difficult loss. ❤️🌈

Announcing our Kitten Season fundraiser!!!!

May is the month that our work of rescuing, fostering, feeding, caring and getting our kittens checked out by our vet friends and ready to go to their new homes REALLY begins! KCH fostered approximately 250 kittens last year, and donations from friends like all of you are what keeps this rescue going!

We've set up a raffle draw on the platform Zeffy to sell tickets on a grand prize of $250!!!!! Tickets are available as 1 for $10, 3 for $20, or 10 for $50, with all sales going toward kittens in our care. Every ticket sale and every donation goes directly towards our mission - we couldn't do it without you - and one of you will walk away with a cash prize on May 31st!!

Zeffy (which helps non-profits all over North America raise funds at no cost to the charity!) accepts credit card payments for ticket sales, and will ask if you'd like to donate to their platform - there's an automatic donation applied, so please take a moment to decide if that's right for you, and opt out or change the amount as appropriate :)

For anyone who would prefer to purchase tickets via e-transfer, please send a note to us at [email protected] with how many tickets you would like to buy, and a volunteer will contact you directly.

Kitten season is upon us! This newborn is currently in our care, and he is just the first of the many kittens we'll be fostering and seeking furever homes for in the coming months. We are announcing a special fundraiser tomorrow to help with the rising expenses of food, supplies and veterinary care, and would love your help to make it a success 😻 And as always, donations of Kitten Milk Replacement and Royal Canin Mother and Baby food are so very welcomed this time of year - drop off locations in Summerside and Stratford area are available ❤️
