Stratford Perth Humane Society The SPHS provides a safe refuge for the stray, unwanted and neglected animals in our community. We are a registered charity and receive no government funding.

The Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society and Stratford Perth Humane Society have long standing histories of serving people and pets in their communities. In 2012, the two organizations joined to become one of Ontario's largest animal welfare charities. Today, they are known as The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth, which operate animal centres in Kitchener and Stratford. Togeth

er, they service the areas of Kitchener, Waterloo, Wilmot, Woolwich, Wellesley, Stratford and Perth County. The humane society also helps animals outside of these areas, as time and resources allow. The humane society is self-funded and self-governed. Outside of contracts for animal services, they receive no government funding. Instead, they rely on the generosity of donors to help animals within their communities and to provide animal welfare focused education and outreach. MISSION

Does your child dream of working with animals? Our Vets in Training programs give young animal lovers the opportunity to learn about veterinary care through fun, hands-on experiences!

We have three programs designed for different age groups 🐾 From anatomy and animal enrichment to surgeries, physical exams and responsible pet ownership, there’s lots to discover!

Veronica is looking for an experienced dog family who understands that a predictable routine, patience, and plenty of encouragement will help her build confidence and settle into her new home.

Celebrating the pets who will always hold a special place in our hearts 🕊️ This past Sunday, we had the honour of being part of a beautiful Pet Remembrance Event hosted by Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery

Throughout the afternoon, community members came together to remember and celebrate their beloved pets, sharing stories, memories and the special bonds they’ll always carry with them. 🐾

A huge thank you to Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery for organizing such a meaningful event and for hosting a food drive in support of the animals in our care.

At 3 years old, Apollo is a sweet and gentle boy with a heart full of love. He enjoys spending time with his people and is always happy to be part of the family, whether you're out for a walk, enjoying some attention, or simply relaxing together.

Apollo is a well-mannered companion who would love a family ready to give him plenty of exercise, enrichment, and time together 🏡 He can be nervous around loud noises, so he'll do best in a home where he can feel comfortable and secure.

Apollo may be compatible with children who have experience with large dogs and another dog with a slow, proper introduction.
