Your pet portrait gallery doesn’t have to be just a collection of perfectly posed photos. 🤍🐾

One of my favourite parts of a session is creating variety, because your pup has way more than one side to their personality!

We’ll capture the beautiful portraits, but we’ll also mix things up with:

🐾 Close-up detail shots
🐾 Classic portraits
🐾 Silly expressions
🐾 Treat-catching action shots
🐾 Different poses and angles
🐾 Props and accessories
🐾 And all those little in-between moments that show off who they really are

The goal is to give you a gallery that feels like your dog, sweet, goofy, beautiful, chaotic and everything in between. 😂

Because yes, I want you to have that gorgeous portrait worthy of hanging on your wall... but I also want you to have the photo that makes you laugh every single time you see it.

And sometimes those end up being the favourites. 🥹

Meet Rocco 🖤🤍

This handsome guy is currently adoptable with Pit Bulls for Life Foundation of Alberta & Sanctuary , and can we talk about that FACE?! 😍

Rocco came into the studio and gave me a little bit of everything, big happy smiles, handsome serious poses, an impressive tongue moment, and plenty of personality. 😂🐾

These are the kinds of photos I love creating for adoptable dogs because they get to show off more than just what they look like. They get to show a little piece of who they are.

And now Rocco just needs the most important thing of all: his forever family. 🏡❤️

🐾 15 MORE PUPS NEEDED! 🐾

We’re officially halfway to my goal for this year’s Pit Bull Awareness Month Fundraiser Minis! 🎉 I set a goal of photographing 31 Pit Bulls or Pit Bull-type dogs in honour of October’s 31 days, and I still need 15 more pups to make it happen!

Even better? 50% of every session fee will be donated to Pit Bulls for Life Foundation of Alberta & Sanctuary to help support the incredible work they do for dogs in need. ❤️

These minis are all about celebrating the goofy, sweet, ridiculous, beautiful personalities of these often misunderstood dogs, so bring me the pitties! Flowers, funny props, big smiles, serious faces... we’ll create something that feels like your pup.

I had SO much fun at this market last year, and I’m so excited to be back again! This year, I’m bringing something extra fun with me… a mini pet portrait studio! 📸🐶

Stop by my booth with your pup and have their photo taken for FREE! There’s no obligation to purchase, but you’ll have the option to purchase your pup’s images afterward if you fall in love with them, and I’ll be sharing some examples with this post so you can see what to expect!

Proof that you don’t need paws that bark or meow to deserve your own professional portraits. 😍

I mean… LOOK at that little face. 🥹🤍

One of my favourite things about pet photography is getting to photograph all kinds of pets. Dogs and cats might make up a lot of the faces you see around here, but guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles and other little companions deserve their moment in front of the camera too!

Your pet doesn’t have to know how to sit, stay or pose perfectly. We work with their personality, their comfort level and whatever they’re willing to give us sometimes with a little snack bribery involved. 😂

Because no matter how big, small, furry, scaly or slightly unconventional your pet might be, they’re family.

And family deserves to be photographed. 🐾🤍

Can we take a moment for those eyes?! 😍🐱

There is something about photographing cats that I absolutely love. They don’t always arrive ready to follow directions (because… cats 😂), but that’s exactly what makes their portraits so special.

We work on their terms, give them time to explore, and wait for those little moments where their personality comes through.

And sometimes the result is a simple portrait like this one, no fancy props, no elaborate setup, just one seriously beautiful kitty stealing the entire show. 🤍

PSA: Pet portrait sessions are definitely not just for dogs! Cats, rabbits, reptiles, and all the other wonderfully unique pets are welcome in my studio too. 🐾

I seriously cannot decide which version of Virginia is my favourite. She brought the sweet, the silly AND the sass to her studio session, and I am completely obsessed with every single one.

This is exactly why I love pet portrait sessions so much. We can get those beautiful, timeless portraits… but we can also let their personality take over and create something that feels completely them. 🤍
