This was posted on another breeder page and we thought it made a lot of sense!
Something to keep in mind for our new puppy families ! Your puppies will need patience, consistency and praise when they get it right. Harsh corrections (being angry, rubbing their noses in a mess etc) None of that works for this breed. Kindness, routines and consistency are the answers! They will WANT you to be happy!!

HERE’S YOUR SIGN. 👏🏼
An 8-week-old puppy is NOT too young to start learning.
With just 3–4 days of consistency, routine, and supervision, this girl has already made HUGE progress with potty training and her kennel.
And let me tell you…
this girl HATED her kennel. 😂
Now? She walks in and settles down like it’s no big deal.
We even had a lazy day where we stayed inside most of the day and simply took turns taking her outside every 30–45 minutes.
The result?
🐾 Accident in the house?
NOPE.
🐾 Accident in the kennel?
Only her very first night.
But here’s the part I really want new puppy owners to understand:
When you bring home an 8-week-old puppy, don’t expect them to automatically know where to potty, how to settle in a kennel, or what you expect from them.
They’re babies.
You have to show them.
Take them out frequently.
Keep a routine.
Watch their behavior.
Praise them when they get it right.
Give them a safe place to rest.
And most importantly… be consistent.
You don’t need a 6-month-old puppy to start teaching good habits.
You need patience, repetition, and a routine.
They’re not born knowing the rules of your house.
That’s our job to teach them. 🐾💞
