Tonight was our very first appointment, a telemedicine consultation for a ball python! 🐍

Did you know we offer telemedicine? This can be a great option for some conditions and concerns, and lets us see patients outside our normal coverage area. And yes medication can be prescribed through telemedicine when appropriate! 💻📱

Did you also know we see snakes? Both virtually and in person! Dr. Madeleine has her own 16yr old corn snake Frosty (we’ll introduce him soon!) and loves all kinds of snakes! 🐍🐍🐍

🎉📢 WE ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN!!! 📢 🎉

5 years ago today on October 7 2021 I officially opened Cosentino Mobile Pet Services as a way to continue providing hydrotherapy to dogs and offer weight loss programs to dogs and cats. Flash forward 5 years and today I am very excited to announce that the CVO has officially accredited Cosentino Mobile Pet Services as a full service mobile clinic! I could not have done this without Jenn by my side, and we are thrilled to be able to start seeing patients!!

To kick off October which is in Canada, we are celebrating our very own superstar technician and manager Jenn! Dr. Madeleine specifically wants to say how much she appreciates Jenn, and how the clinic wouldn’t be a reality without her immense help!

🐾 Meet Jennifer!

Hi everyone! I’m Jennifer Tucker, and I’m excited to be part of this new adventure with Cosentino Mobile Pet Services !

I graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2003 and have spent the past 20+ years working in veterinary medicine. I’ve had the opportunity to work in several small animal clinics over the years, and most recently, I managed a busy, high-volume spay and neuter clinic for the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.

When I first started in veterinary medicine, I was always drawn to surgery and the hands-on clinical side of things. As my career progressed, I found myself really enjoying the management side of veterinary medicine too — keeping things organized, helping teams work together, and making sure things run as smoothly as possible.

But one of the things I’ve always loved most about this profession is the human-animal bond. Our pets are family, and being able to help people care for their animals and maintain that special relationship is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Outside of work, life is pretty busy! My husband Chris and I have three amazing, daughters, and all three girls play baseball. ⚾️ Two of them have even had the opportunity to represent the York Simcoe Baseball Association at the Ontario Summer Games — so you could say our family spends a LOT of time at the ballpark!

And of course, I can’t forget the three other members of our family: Darth, Trooper and Chewy — our three cats. 🐱🐱🐱

I’m really looking forward to getting to know our clients and their pets, and to being able to provide veterinary care in the comfort of their own homes. ❤️

Thanks for following along and being part of this journey with us! 🐾

Let’s introduce Dr. Madeleine, our owner and founder!

Dr. Madeleine has been a veterinarian for 10 years, and has been practicing in the south Georgian Bay region for almost half that time. She wears a couple different professional hats working at Ontario SPCA Barrie and District Animal Centre, as a general practice veterinarian at clinics in the area, and at local urgent care clinics in the area. She is very proud and excited to be opening her very own mobile practice, bringing the passion and care she has for pets of all species right into your home.

In her spare time (ha!) Dr. Madeleine takes care of her two senior dogs Harley (German Shepherd mix), Hope (Golden Retriever), her senior corn snake Frosty, and her 1 year old mouse Cream. She tries to find time to ride Roger the horse she leases, as well as read books (hockey romance is a current favourite) and watch some of her favourite shows and movies (mostly in the Star Wars universe). She’s a proud Toronto Maple Leafs fan and enjoys the PWHL as well.

Dr. Madeleine is a proud member of all three major exotic pets veterinary organizations (Association of Exotic Mammal Vets, Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV), Assoc of Avian Veterinarians), as well as the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (Cat Friendly Homes), Senior Dog Veterinary Society (Senior Dog Veterinary Society), American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians, Canadian Academy of Veterinary Dermatology (Canadian Academy of Veterinary Dermatology (CAVD)), Canadian Association of Veterinary Cannabinoid Medicine, American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviour, and the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA).

We are officially introducing ourselves as the newest mobile veterinary clinic serving the south Georgian Bay region! With an expected opening of October 2026 (stay tuned for official opening date!), we are excited to be serving the pets and owners of the area. If you aren't sure if we cover where you live just ask!

What sets us apart is that we see ALL companion animal species, including dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and pet birds. Fish and invertebrates can be seen on a case by case basis. Wildlife can only be seen for emergency stabilization before transfer to a licensed wildlife caretaker. The only species we will not be treating are large animals such as horses and livestock, venomous snakes, and primates. If you aren't sure if we see your species just ask!

We will be offering full service care, from wellness visits (including vaccinations) to sick pet appointments to diagnostic testing to humane euthanasia, all offered in the comfort of your own home. Services that cannot be done in home such as surgeries and radiographs (x-ray images) can be referred to one of the many amazing brick and mortar practices in the area. We will also offer telemedicine for those not in our local area (must be in Ontario).

As an introduction, I'm Dr. Madeleine Cosentino. I have been a veterinarian for 10 years, and have been practicing in the south Georgian Bay region for almost half that time. I wear a couple different professional hats working at the OSPCA in Barrie, as a general practice veterinarian at clinics in the area, and at local urgent care clinics in the area. I am very proud and excited to announce I am opening my very own mobile practice, bringing the passion and care I have for pets of all species right into your home. My office manager Jenn will be my right hand woman, as well as other veterinary support staff in the area.

You can contact us at [email protected], or at 249-662-1934 (calls only, or text the same number through WhatsApp ONLY). We are on Facebook and Instagram, and have a website coming soon!
