Danielle Smith’s Bill 11 isn’t a "reform", it’s a direct attack on public health care in Alberta and across Canada. Bill 11 is a dangerous blueprint for a two-tier system that would force families to choose between their health and their financial survival.

This bill breaks federal law. It violates the Canada Health Act by putting ability to pay over medical need. This will inevitably lead to:

❌ Longer wait times
❌ Paying more and more for care
❌ An American-style system where your wallet dictates your health

Working people in Newfoundland and Labrador have seen first-hand the wastage and extra costs associated with creeping privatization within our public healthcare system.

We call on our Premier to join us in opposing any scheme that undermines the Canada Health Act and to reinvest in the public healthcare system which is the foundation of a fair, just, equitable, and healthy province for everyone.

Our health system isn’t just a program; it’s a part of who we are. It’s worth protecting. It’s worth investing in. It’s worth fighting for.
