DODGER UPDATE: GOOD NEWS ❤️

Thanks to all of our compassionate Heavenly Creatures supporters, Dodger finally has his dental work done today and is back home recovering with his human family and his kitty sibling.

We can’t thank you enough for helping us give this senior Shi Tzu a new lease on life.

His family is greatly relieved and he should be more comfortable now.

*We’re reposting Dodger’s appeal as there is $900 left to raise. Can you help us reach our goal, so that we can pay for Dodger to have dental work done this week? His family simply can’t afford it and he keeps getting infections as a result 💔

Meet Dodger, a senior Shi Tzu with a VERY SORE MOUTH who needs the community’s help. 🙏

We all know how awful dental pain is. No creature should have to experience it chronically over lack of money for care.

Dodger’s birthday is this month and all he wants for his birthday is not to be in dental pain anymore; he’s been dealing with frequent infections for a long time now 💔

Poor Dodger has had dental infection after dental infection. 😿 His mom tells us he is “miserable” at times.

He has another tooth infection now, so HC made sure he has antibiotics, but what he really needs is dental extractions.

Dodger is the pride and joy of a disabled senior lady. She has a big heart, but very little means, so we’ve been helping her with food and vet care for Dodger, who is the centre of her Universe.

Dear little “Dodgey,” as she sometimes calls him,” is her constant companion and it has been greatly distressing to her to watch him suffer. 💔

Baccalieu Trail Animal Hospital can squeeze Dodger in later this week for the dental work he so desperately needs, but we need to raise the money.

The clinic is telling us that the dental work Dodger needs will cost up to $2500.

Can you help us give this sweet senior a comfortable retirement and thereby help relieve his mom of her anxiety about him?

CHLOE UPDATE: GOOD NEWS

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated, thereby making it possible for this sweet old girl to see a vet when her owner didn’t have the means to take her:

She was seen at the Exploits Valley clinic yesterday.

She has a number of things going on from
bladder stones to cancer (it hasn’t spread, though - her lungs are clear).

Despite all this, her mom tells us the vet said they should have some time left with her yet. They plan to celebrate three month milestones.

Chloe is meant to start a number of medications today that will hopefully help her.

We’ll keep you posted on her progress.

SENIOR DOG, CHLOE, NEEDS HELP

Cough, cough, cough. We’re told that’s all this poor senior sweetie does. 😿

We’re told that dear little Chloe, who is fourteen, has had this terrible cough FOR MONTHS and is now lethargic 💔

Chloe has progressed to having “trouble getting off the floor” and desperately needs to be seen by a vet.

She is is still eating, but clearly needs a veterinary work up.

Chloe’s elderly owners died and she was taken in by a family member who was initially in better financial shape, but now can’t afford to provide this senior pup with the vet care she needs.

We helped Chloe with a minor vet bill a few months ago and now with this bad cough, she really needs us. She could be in heart failure and require medication.

Chloe’s Mom Says;

“I am so embarrassed to even write because I used to work and I brought her to the vet for everything, but now I’m just down and out and don’t know where to turn.”

We’d like to to make it possible for Chloe to be seen tomorrow or Tuesday (as soon as she can be fit in).

MOO UPDATE: GOOD NEWS ❤️

Thanks to the caring community, Moo had his ECG yesterday and there is funds leftover to cover his follow-up bloodwork.

His family should receive the results of his heart scan next week and then they’ll know whether he is on the right medication.

Thank you a million times over for helping a sweet cat and the family who loves him dearly.

DONATIONS NEEDED FOR MOO!

A sweet kitty with a literal bad heart needs help, so we hope some figurative warm hearts in our community will rally for him.

A beloved sick cat.

An echocardiogram that is financially out of reach.

A lot of tears. A lot of stress. 😿

Sweet Moo was recently discovered by his mom late one evening struggling to breathe. 😿

Rushed to the clinic that was on-call, he was hospitalized to the tune of $2500 because he had fluid buildup around his heart. 💔

Moo having a heart issue has broken his mom’s as he is her “baby.” Moo needs an echocardiogram, but it is beyond his family

Moo’s hospitalization and follow-up visit cost his family $3000 that they truly don’t have; his mom is only in her forties, but because of a very challenging chronic health issue, she is on a disability pension.

Now he needs a heart scan and follow up bloodwork that will cost in the range of $1500 plus.

Moo’s family - like so many people - live paycheque to paycheque. They have no more credit wiggle room for getting Moo the echocardiogram he needs and this is causing them heaps of guilt and worry. 💔

No one wants their animal to go without owing to money. 😿

Moo needs this heart scan, so that his vet can know precisely what is going on with his heart and ensure he is on the right medication.

You could not meet a kinder, generous, selfless, braver, more deserving person of help than Moo’s mom - take it from us.

Despite living with serious chronic pain and exhaustion, whenever her health allows, Moo’s mom drags herself out of the house to help animals in need.

I could list out all the things she does for the community despite her pain, but suffice it to say she’s the closet thing to an angel you will find down here in this weary planet.

Moo’s mom has helped such a lot of animals that she deserves some help with her own.

Please help HC come to Moo’s aid, so that we can ensure he is on the right medication and his mom doesn’t have to lose sleep worrying that he isn’t getting the care he needs.

ODIN UPDATE:

MUCH INTEREST/LIKELY SPOKEN FOR

Odin’s owner was just in touch to say she has received a lot of interest in him.

She further said she has someone lined up to meet him and if that does not work out, she will respond to the rest of the emails she received.

Thanks for helping to spread the word about him. Fingers crossed that this Dane gets the right home soon.
